Weird the OP headline about Nioh in UK is wrong... GTAV was first in both Revenue and Units... Nioh only was first in revenue and units if you look at individual SKU.

Today morning it gives me the wrong ideia so I have to check and discovered the thread OP is inaccurate.

The Chart-Track PR note is not wrong.

It is just that the All Formats Top 40 (Value) chart is not publicly available in their site.

Nope...

TOP 40 ENTERTAINMENT SOFTWARE (ALL PRICES)

Or are you saying ALL PRICES means units???

ALL PRICES means it's combined budget price and full price, but it's still done by units. This is the "official" chart they use to determine Christmas #1 etc, and the one they base their comments on.

Really???

Units: FORZA HORIZON 3 > MINECRAFT: XBOX EDITION

All Prices: MINECRAFT: XBOX EDITION > FORZA HORIZON 3

I think ALL PRICES, FULL PRICE, BUDGE are revenue charts... units makes no sense looking to the chart.

Anyway, I can only assume that you're mixing individual format chart with all format chart and forgetting about Minecraft X360 version.

Order of sales;

[XB1] + [360] MINECRAFT: XBOX EDITION
[XB1] FORZA HORIZON 3
[XB1] MINECRAFT: XBOX EDITION
[360] MINECRAFT: XBOX EDITION

Is this something new or was SEGA always cautious about their physical releases? I'm genuinely curious, because I don't follow their release plans. Other smaller publishers don't seem to have this problem here in Europe. I see plenty of copies from 505 or Nordic Games lying around in the stores.

I think Sega Europe was reluctant to publish it, future games will be published by Deep Silver. Sega was probably overly cautious with print numbers, and are happy to drive people to higher margin/lower risk digital downloads.

I mean, the series has sold like utter shit here up to this point. You can't blame them for only having limited stock in the first place. Even from chart position that first week, it does appear to have exceeded expectations.

Please link the charts that you are referring to.
The Units and All Prices chart... there is only one of them.

Unit: https://www.chart-track.co.uk/index.jsp?c=p/software/uk/latest/index_test.jsp&ct=110032
All Prices: https://www.chart-track.co.uk/index.jsp?c=p/software/uk/latest/index_test.jsp&ct=110015

Actually that can be the case.

Something new every day... I always used the Prices charts like revenue ranking.

For this week's UK charts we have For Honor launch week sales and the second week sales of Nioh.

I hope it had a good second week hold, no idea if the game got a new shipment. By the way, Nioh was the best selling game in Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand.

And as For Honor there is no doubt that it will comfortably top the charts, the only question is whether it was the biggest launch of the year or not. If GfK Chart-Tack is feeling generous we might get some hints so that we can roughly figure out how many units sold. I'm expecting around 40,000 - 50,000 units which would be really great for a new IP, I would be extremely surprised if it outsold Resident Evil 7.

For Honor! For Victory! For Ubisoft!

Launched on Tuesday, ‘For Honor’ debuts on top, giving Ubisoft their first All Formats No1 since ‘Tom Clancy’s The Division’ almost a year ago. It is the biggest entirely new IP to launch at No1 since ‘No Man’s Sky’ with 57% of sales on PS4 and 43% on Xbox One.

‘Sniper Elite 4’ published by Sold Out Sales & Marketing, also launched on Tuesday and is a new entry at No2, meaning ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ has been knocked off No1 yet again, falling to No3 despite an increase in sales. The last time there were new titles at No1 and No2 was with ‘FIFA 17’ and Forza Horizon 3’ back in W39 last year.

Retailer promotions give old favourites a boost; ‘FIFA 17’ is a non-mover at No4 even though sales jumped, while ‘Battlefield 1’ enjoys a similar sales increase, up one place to No5. ‘Forza Horizon 3’ re-enters the Top 10 at No9 while ‘Lego Dimensions’ re-enters the Top 40 at No15, both on the back of retailer special offers. Bandai Namco Entertainment’s ‘Dragon Ball Fusions’ on 3DS makes a first appearance at No36.
