God, I love Tetris Attack. I've been waiting forever for Nintendo Puzzle Collection to come state-side, I might just import it.

What's wrong with the NPC version? It's the only one I've played so I'm just curious.bobbyconover said:and re-releases at least 3 times now -- Pokemon Puzzle League, NPC and now this -- and have been disappointed every time. So back to the old SNES I go.
Seriously, isn't NPC 4-player PDP?? That would be amazing.Cathcart said:What's wrong with the NPC version? It's the only one I've played so I'm just curious.

bobbyconover said:Yes. Also the sprites have all been re-done in a really gross pre-rendered style that actually manages to look worse than the 8-years-older version. The 4p mode is interesting in a sort of party-mayhem way (and believe me, I'm all about the 4p/one-screen party games), and the "column" mode lifted from Pokemon Puzzle League is kinda cool too, but I don't think either really improve enough upon the game to warrant the other screw-ups. And I know I can't really fault the game itself for this, but it's nearly impossible to play with the stock Gamecube D-Pad (cue the Hori images).
It's probably the best of the recent versions, but I ended up going back to the originals after only a couple days with it.
