Yin (Growth, Fury) is a carry who wields a combination of her whip and wind magic to quickly dispatch her enemies. Although she came from a life of crime on the streets with Aurora, Yin rose to the rank of First Guardian of her city.

Backlash (RMB/R1) - Yin cracks her whip, dealing damage in an area in front of her. If enemy projectiles are hit by the whip, they will be reflected back towards the enemy.

Lash Kick (Q/Square) - Yin swings her whip, pulling herself to a target, and then jumps off of their head dealing damage.

Windburn (E/Circle) - Yin reaches with her whip, increasing the range of her basic attack as well as gaining cleave.

Quelling Gale (R/Triangle) - Yin surrounds herself in a whirlwind, displacing all enemies within range. For 5 seconds, the whirlwind will slow enemies and enemy projectiles that travel through it.

another melee?

urgh

Can't tell if serious...

:D

You know, Yin may be a melee hero, but she's actually pretty different from the average melee hero in this game.

--Has a skill that grants her long melee range
--Can reflect enemy projectiles
--Can slow enemy projectiles

I like her!

Had first game back after a break since Oct, got destroyed.

Monolith is a whole different game it seems: played like a Bronze scrub :/

Takes a couple of games to get used to yep. Map layout and changed meta (cc and dmg is everything right now) make this a different experience.

Only had a couple of matches over the last 2 weeks, every game starts to feel a bit same-same. Early game is fun but doesn't matter for the outcome of the game, mid game is still fun but in most cases doesn't decide the outcome of the game. Late game is just waiting for the one big teamfight. The team that kills a few more people usually wins the game. That is when everyone pushes after the teamfight. 50% that works and the teamfight was the deciding factor of the game (didn't really matter how many towers you pushed before that), or your team is dumb and doesn't push but retreats or farms after the teamfight. Extremly frustrating, then it's just waiting for the next big teamfight.

I'm not sure how you could change this to give early and mid game a bit more impact. Maybe it's also just in high gold elo or maybe I just played too much Paragon and need this break.

Hello,

How do you feel about free shiny things? Well good, we also love them.

In our V.38.3 update we are introducing a ‘Daily Login bonus'. Show up to game and get yourself rewards ranging from Boosts/Coins to Skin Variations/Diamond Chests. You might notice that Hero unlocks are also included on the calendar, fear not if you are an existing player this won't affect you.

Wait, you're telling me that all I do is login and I get a thing? Yes, that's correct.

Paragon%2Fblog%2Flog-in-and-get-stuff%2Fezgif.com-video-to-gif-%281%29-3c22af75d02feeb71a1c6d10d42bd8c1b4508157.gif

You might have also noticed some new colors surrounding the various items in the Daily Login calendar, those are our new rarities. They are as follows:

Common
Uncommon
Rare
Epic
Legendary

Additionally in the incoming update, we have changed the way our random rewards work... with chests! Wherever you would have received a random reward, you will now receive a chest (e.g. Account Level-Up, Hero Mastery, New Daily Login).

Over the next few weeks/months you will be seeing more opportunities to acquire in-game rewards just by logging and playing Paragon. Keep an eye out for additional blog posts for updates on features and when they will hit the game!

dev's'post about that on reddit

You are somewhat correct. You will now unlock Heroes based on the days played, but it will be the same Heroes that were normally unlocked by getting to level 7

and in the comments

It's the same Heroes that are normally locked by levels. They're moving to daily login

Hey folks,

All this week we've asked what becoming a Master means to each of you. You have shared some great stories! We've heard that Hero Mastery has caused some of you to make multiple accounts and become Masters of the same Hero multiple times. We've learned that some of you love the gameplay design of certain Heroes while others only care about the art design. Whatever your reasons, we wanted you to know that more is on the horizon for those that dedicate their time and effort to Master a Hero.

Hero Mastery Rewards
As many Masters know, unlocking (via 75k Reputation) or purchasing (1300 coins) a Hero's Mastery has an added benefit of automatically granting you the Challenger skin for your Hero. The Challenger skin is unlocked at Level 1 and usable right away. After that, you'll need to invest time into unlocking each of your subsequent rewards.

One of the Mastery rewards coming soon is the Specialist Skin. This will be another skin variant that you can earn as you level up on the path of becoming a Master. There will also be another Emote that you can get on your journey as well. So you'll get the Challenger Skin, Specialist Skin, new Emote, existing Emote, and finally the Master Skin on your path to Master. Ultimately we want you to have meaningful rewards at each level you earn when you unlock a Hero's Mastery. This culminates into awesomeness that is the Master Skin.

We're also looking at other creative ways that you can use to express your Hero Mastery and we can't wait to share them when they're a bit more defined, so stay tuned.

Trying this for first time. Masive Smite fan, also play Dota and Gigantic (which i adore especially). Not feeling this much from a few bot games, but i know that is not a 'true' experience. What sets Paragon apart for you guys?

I've got about 500 hours logged, and for me it's the feeling of teamwork, combat feels like a mix between Dota and a shooter, and the community is (mostly) awesome.

Bot matches aren't fun IMO, I only use them to test new decks (although it doesn't really work, you win before you get half way usually) or like now, since I've had a 6 month break, and have come back to the game - it's changed a lot since Oct last year!

So with the weekly update, all my Skins for all the Heroes go back to Default

Even if I go to Profile tab and click Heroes, the Skin I want, it still regurgitates back to basic Skin no matter what
I have to go into Draft lobby and pick the Skin to layover the Heeo, but come next week, new update, it Repeats!

Gets tiring, can we just please get a lock button the Skin you want to rock please

Haven't played this in a long time (PC). Thinking of downloading the PS4 version. Worth playing on console?

I'd say give it a shot if you want. I played the console version first because my gpu barely meets the minimum specs and I found it plenty fun. Downloaded the pc version just yesterday and gave it a shot and found aiming way better (easier to last hit) but hot keys are still a bit of a pain for me.

Experience was pretty even tbh. And id you link your PSN to you Epic account on the website, your decks and stuff crossover. It will just display you PSN name instead of your Epic account name when you play on the PS4.

I gotta say, it's awesome to be able to hit up Paragon in my PC game room, then relax on the couch and jump on the PS4 version too - actually prefer controller for all the melee characters: Offlane Greatstone is relaxing af with a controller and a beer beside you :)

The bot matches are TERRIBLE! The AI in that game is atrocious right now and they are working on fixing that. Paragon is just an incredible good looking game with a simple card system as well as extremely rewarding fights in the game. I love it :D

Smart business move. Of all the things that cause people to stop playing, character design is way lower on the list. Meanwhile, it targets all those whale bucks since people are probably more likely to buy skins for waifus.

Swimsuit Edition for Summer Event = Big Bucks for Epic

Report this to the team, Nicolas

Thongs for everyone!

I wish there were different maps. And the end explosion is very anti climatic. I do like they implemented a character model viewer finally. I also wish they would punish more the people that just give up and stand there on the home base plate.

It has been one year since the Ashurite portals opened on Omeda, Letha, and Zechin. One year since the search for the Paragon began. A time for solemn reflection... and cake!

This week marks the Year One anniversary since Paragon went into Early Access. To celebrate, V.38.3 brings a new Hero, huge updates to existing Heroes and Cards, as well as a week long celebration with gifts for all.

I just started playing this on the weekend and had a decent time with it. It does an alright job of easing you in without dumping all the information (which would have left me scratching my head). Haven't played a MOBA before so some of the systems are new to me. Any general recommendations for a newbie?

Hope they give people playing for a long ass time retroactive bonuses new players will be getting

I started Day 1 of PS+ giveaway of the Starter pack
Think July 1st 2016

I mean most veterans are already account level 50 and have Heroes roughly leveled to 5+

Kinda not fair, new additions and bonuses added into rewards pool we get no chance of getting
Sucks for playing the game too much

Might have to hold back leveling Heroes cause you never know what extra bonuses the might add in future you'll get added out of

Cracks me up how they seem to have sped up Aurora's freeze circle thing (sorry, don't know the name).

That shit is impossible!

They should let us Prestige Account level

Hell I'll take a x2 multiplier on reaching levels again so its not a quick grind

Just got back into the game after playing it for about a month back when it launched on PS4 and I must say all the changes done are welcomed in my eyes. Any tips on how to play Gideon? I opened up a loot crate box yesterday and got his rare Undertow skin so he's my main for now haha.

Gideon I tend to build Damage/Regen early. So cards like Solaris Reactor and Burst Engine.
Mid game Gideon can actually go with a little bit of Survival/Utility. Eldermage Amulet and Quantam Casing for me. Mostly damage on the casing.
Late game is all about his abilities doing damage so ~32 PEN from Shadow Scrolls. Also the option for Infinity Stream/Hydroverser.

Sylphin as always has a helpful vid.

Healer Token+Something else is a great start on every character because after your prime card and a possible blink token you can still build 9 full items. That's a very smooth transition from 6 point cards to 12 point cards.

*Holy cow just saw all the changes coming. Massive. The card changes in particular are very large. Much higher chance of seeing more active/utility cards now.
Grim.exe
Pulse Cannon

Card Scaling increased to 0.92 from 0.85
People still didn't like him, but he was already second only to Sparrow in raw DPS potential.

Will be great watching these changes play out.
Ash of the Witch

Rework. Now Universal affinity.
Cost: 6 CP
+12 Power
SLOW ON ABILITY HIT - Passive: Enemies hit by abilities are slowed by 150 move speed for 1 second.
I hear Fey, Gideon, Greystone, and Iggy having a dance to Shinbi's Circle Rhythm. Riktor is hoping they let him in.

We're getting a band new game again :D

All 3 of Fey's abilities could feature CC.

I like the cards now that I have them all.
Good point made on Reddit. Now is the best time to make sure you have the cards you want before they change affinities. Universal materials are some of the hardest to get. I have a bunch of duplicates from the cards that will be changed and I'll be waiting to break them down so I finally have a surplus of metal.

My master Fey is literally dancing. Harvest Nettle combined with bramble = semi root HEHEHEH

So i tried this game yesterday. I believe it's my first MOBA and i have no idea what is going on most of the time, lol

One question. I play a match with x character and he goes up to level 8. On the next match he starts from lvl 1 again and i lose all my upgrades. Is this normal?

After patch, I'm crashing on ps4 when opening some of the chest rewards.

Upgrades you acquire during a match stays only for the duration of the match. Player and character progression xp is kept at the end of the match to unlock rewards/skins/etc.
