IT BEGINS!
So looking at the schedule, it seems like two panels that I'm really looking forward to are back to back: Bioshock Infinite and Dust. Any PAX veterans have luck getting to back-to-back panels?
If their big, popular ones, Nope.jpg.
You may have good luck getting from bioshock to dust. But not vice versa, that bioshock line is gonna be LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG.
I'm trying to figure out if I wanna skip the Persona 4 Arena tournament to get into the Capcom panel...but I dunno.
Should be ok, they have UV reactive images printed in them now, but wouldn't be surprised if some fakes popped up closer to the date. Also please don't post full/HQ pictures of your badges online to try and prevent scammers from making bootleg badges. PAX Prime was almost shut down one year because they were way over capacity because of fake badges being so rampant.

You can find images of it wherever, dunno what they are doing for security this year, but I'm sure they will be fine.Shouldn't talk about the security on the badges.![]()
If I were to sell my badge, how would I go about it? have to mail the physical badge?
hey guys -- We just released the guide for PAX East on Guidebook, check it out: http://guidebook.com/g/paxeast2013/
Let me know what you think or if you see anything that's missing. Cheers!
I believe counterfeiting is less of an issue for PAX East than it is for PAX Prime.
I also fully expect this year's PAX Prime to be a hotbed of counterfeiting, because I have a feeling it's going to be crazy popular, what with the new consoles.
The new consoles combined with how fast Prime badges appeared to sell out last year is going to make it even harder to snag one this year. I'm betting they'll legitimately be gone within a day, assuming the ticketing system doesn't break again.
I have a 3 day pass coming to me but I can not make the trip. If anyone is interested in buying it PM me. PayPal works for me.
Unless Prime 2012 only sold so quickly due to the LoL tournament, which I suspect might be the case. Yeah, I expect a full sell-out in 24 hours, which worries me, as I've already booked my flight and hotel for Prime. Seemed the best way to get cheap airfare, and all the hotels have availability. Now I just need to get my passes.
Already booked? Have they even announced the dates?
Fucking Bostonians, the number of scalpers for this event is sickening. Red Sox culture.
These badges were available for months. I didn't buy mine until December or something. The 3 Days are the only ones that sold out quicklyFucking Bostonians, the number of scalpers for this event is sickening. Red Sox culture.

Within a day or so, IIRC.

They allowed this a couple of years ago in the biggest theater for a couple of things, but I'm guessing no.The scheduling options... you can only set a reminder to appear before one hour, one day, 1 week or 2 weeks. Is that a Guidebook limitation?
Also a question for PAX guys. If there's a panel in one of the ballrooms, and a panel I want to see is in the same room afterwards, can I stay seated? I highly doubt it but I wanted to ask anyway.

here is the exhibitor floor map, since so many people keep asking me: http://guidebook.com/guide/6289/map/10509/
Was probably only meant to viewed on mobile sites, but I've saved the images of the floors already. No idea why these aren't on the main site.Broken? I know it worked before.
If anyone has an image/info on all the exhibitors and corresponding number, that would be great.
For everyone wondering about food options who wants to avoid the prices and relative quality available in the convention hall, I can't stress enough that the rest of the city is not far away. If the weather is nice it's definitely walkable to get to Downtown Crossing. It isn't the shortest walk, and if you're looking for lunch and have a panel you want to line up for in an hour it's not gonna work, but it's definitely doable otherwise. And if you don't want to walk or the weather isn't cooperating, you can catch the silver line or the bus to South Station and beyond. Sanjuro mentioned taxis, which is always an option as well(Uber is available too which I haven't used but have heard great things; just keep the $15 minimum in mind).
Lots of options for fast, cheap(compared to the convention hall) food near South Station. There's a food court inside: McDonalds, Pizzeria Regina, Au Bon Pain, etc. Down the street a bit to Downtown Crossing and you've got Five Guys and the superior Uburger, Qdoba, Chipotle, Quiznos, Wendy's, Burger King, etc. A Dunkin Donuts roughly every three to four feet and there's also like three CVS stores within the immediate area. Tons of "real" food options too, which could be an enormous post all on their own. People have mentioned options in Chinatown, which is very close by, and you've got everything from Fajitas and Ritas to Radius and Ruth's Chris in the area.
Cabs are dirt cheap in Boston, especially if you have a few people with you. Can get to proper food options in no time.
Problem is, I'm usually wanting food while drunk late at night!
what is microsoft gonna have 0_o and i wanted Sony's booth to be huge, no PS4 then![]()

They'll also likely have free shuttles to downtown Boston during the lunch period.
