PC games that work well with a Controller?

Not Mass Effect -_-

There was $20 down the drain. Even with Xpadder, there was too much shit to map properly.

I played Mass Effect on an xbox 360 controller and had zero problems. I'm a hardcore m/k lover but I played ME with a pad because I knew how console centric it was and like I said, I had zero problems.

Tomb Raider: Legend - perfect: auto-detects, rumble support, allows for inverting stick
Tomb Raider: Anniversary - perfect: auto-detects, rumble support, allows for inverting stick
Tomb Raider: Underworld - perfect: auto-detects, rumble support, allows for inverting stick, changes icons to 360 ones

Anything with the Games for Windows brand has native 360 controller support.

Not exactly. If the game has controller support it has to have native 360 controller support.

Wow, this is the first time I've heard Mirror's Edge PC plays better with m/kb. I always defaulted to 360 pad. I'll give m/kb a try next time. :D

Racing games from codemasters in my experience are quite good too...
Dirt, Grid.

DMC4 is a quite a good one too...lovely response.
RE4 seems good too.
BASICALLY, any console titles that also have an equivalent on the PC.

For shooters, I prefer mouse+k/b, but some people like using the controllers.
GoW for example, I would agree its perfect with the controllers.

Competitive FPS however, i still stick with mouse and keyboard, something of habit i built over the years.

Psychonauts should have, but doesn't. It isn't bad but it definitely isn't great. It's not native 360 support but by using joy2key or Pinnacle (not xpadder) you can get a much more enjoyable experience out of it like I did.

Valve give you a configuration guide for HL2 and 360 controls.

Halo 1/2 with a Microsoft guide.

I assume the Prince of Persia games would work well with a pad too since they have a console equivalent.

You guys missed Lost Planet.

Expect Lost Planet 2 to have perfect compatibility as well.

Don't play Mirror's Edge with a pad. Seriously.
Why not? It feels natural. It's a platformer, not a shooter.

When you turn off runner vision it's basically a first person Prince of Persia.

It plays far better with M&KB because of the very precise nature of the platforming, which the mouse really lends itself too.

I've been playing the shit out of Batman: Arkham Assylum w/ a wired 360 controller hooked up to my computer. Works like a charm.
