Any news on the European list?

I just tried Mercenaries, it made me update.....yet the game wouldn't play anyway. PDO isn't working either.

edit: ah, we need to download it from the website. I think I'll just wait until it's on XBL.
 
Are fps's so much to ask for? Isn't that what this damn console was mainly known for in the first place? Stranger's Wrath, Riddick, come to me! ;_;

This is pretty damn good though.

Wrong. The info about the new update was up for over an hour, and there still was no title change, so people who weren't in that thread wouldn't have a clue.

JSRF on the combo disk does NOT work. The menu boots up but when you select it, it says game isn't supported.

This leads me to believe that you need a legit solo copy of JSRF.


EDIT: WTF, Sega Rally on the combo disk works.

Yes the game has some of the worst gunplay around.

Most people(including myself) like it for the atmosphere and the melee combat. The game has tons of faults but if one is willing to look past that it can be quite an experience.
 
You guys who are trying the games already, did you manually download the CD image and burn it and install it that way?

As of now, your 360 will not install this update automatically. If you want it to work, you need to download the archive in the link and burn the .xex file to a CD or DVD. Put it in your 360, and you know the rest.

Too late, just put in my GT 2002/JSRF disc and although GT2002 works, JSRF does not =( Didn't ask me for an update either.

Also if you are even a tiny bit sensible to motion sickness, forget about this game altogether. This is the only game *ever* that made me physically sick after just 15 minutes.
 
Awesome news about all this sweet 2d fighting. Too bad the d-pad is beyond horrendous. What's the link to that tutorial on fixing the d-pad again?

that's because it's not "officially" on xbox live yet. But MS has always given the option to burn seasonal updates and BC updates to a CD for people who weren't on live. If you don't want to do that, you'll probably have to wait a few hours (days?) for the xbox live automatic update. But obviously, some folks want to get a head start, lol

The update is not officially out yet, it's been put on Xbox.com a bit earlier than it should have been or something. So either burn it, or wait a few more hours for the official release.
 
Orta, JSRF and Phantom Dust? Is this really happening? Are we living in a dream?

Finally, I can bid goodbye to the behemobeliskth that is Xbox. Praise Jesus.
 
Wow, MS actually fixed the games I wanted to play.... months and months and months later. But still, thumbs up even if I do so while frowning at the wait time.

Haha. Just have to drop my thanks for PDO too, since I do realize that people like us are really the only reason Microsoft would bother BC'ing this game.

It may have taken a while, but they delivered in the end. Good show.



.............now just Outrun 2 C2C and I swear I'll never ask for another BC game ever again. :D

I just tried and can confirm that Panzer Dragon, JSRF, Shenmue 2, and Conker all work! The only game I own and tried that didn't work so far is Prince of Persia 3. Awesome update.

JSRF solo disc doesn't work either.


edit: JSRF PAL stand alone does not work. For me anyway.
 
i can confirm that Phantom Dust NTSC works.

i'd try a few more but most of my xbox games are PAL and so the NTSC 360 complains that they're region protected (which is the case for the majority of xbox 1 games).

- Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30
- Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3
- Legacy of Kain: Defiance
- Star Wars KOTOR (updated/fixed)

To think I sold JSRF just a few weeks ago thinking it'd never be compatible. :lol
 
Can't they just get Beyond Good & Evil and Riddick so I can finally get rid of my xbox.. this update had zero games that I own :(
I still agree it's the best BC update since launch, which says alot about how crappy the previous updates have been.

I'll just wait until the update goes Live; my copy of PDO isn't going anywhere. But it's too bad about JSRF combo-disks not working-- that's what mine was-- so it looks like I'll have to get a standalone one for cheap. Maybe it's for the best, since I can't find the old disk anyway...

Yes, I have the stand alone disc. For some weird reason it doesn't convert to widescreen, but it works great otherwise. All the other games mentioned were in widescreen. Panzer Dragoon Orta looks even more beautiful than I remember. And now I can finally get around to finishing Shenmue 2 and Conker (hopefully).
