I bought both games that day. I think I got the game for Gears 3 Beta but enjoy Bulletstorm also.

They said they are working on an IP owned by Sony, so no.
I guess Sony could have bough the IP, but that seems very unlikely since the game didn't sell particularly well and no one has been asking for more Bulletstorm.

It's probably just going to be another punk purple game with ugly chicks.

Where did you read that?

AFAIK EA just published the original game. Gearbox published the remaster.

Epic Games and PCF developed the game but the Bulletstorm IP rights stayed with PCF.

In this 2019 article "People Can Fly owns the Bulletstorm IP, but it's currently working on other things."

What's wrong with catering to both audiences? I enjoyed Warzone mode in KZ2 back then with it's dynamic mission objective systems that varied from taking out key targets to ensuring the team mate delivers the propaganda speaker. But the multiplayer game landscape has evolved, and the current ongoing iteration within the evolution is Battle Royale.
