People upgrading from PS4/XBOne to Neo/Scorpio... whats your plan?

As for me, I don't need a Scorpio since most of their "exclusives" will be on PC. Also, Gears 4 is cross play, so no point. I need to see more Playstation exclusives that interest me before I leap for the NEO.

When I was in college I sold almost all my systems and games (save my PSP) so I could have enough to buy a PS3 at launch.

I'm an adult now so I don't need to do something so drastic. I'll either buy the Neo outright or take use of whatever trade-in program is the most generous.

Only point of concern is my HDD. I upgraded to a 2tb hard drive and I gave my launch 500gb to a friend. Thinking of just buying a used 500gb drive to insert in my PS4 when I trade it in.

What do ps4s go for right now on craigslist ebay and gaf

Im sticking with my ps4 because its fine and i dont care about ultra graphics and performance

If on September 7 I decide to pull the trigger on a Neo (it will be a game time decision)...I'll just buy it and the OG PS4 will be moved to another TV...

I won't be getting a Scorpio as I've made my choice to be a single ecosystem guy

I would keep my PS4 and buy a Neo. One system would end up in my office cause that tends to lead it self to productivity.

So Neo is for a fact releasing this year?

trade OG Xbox one for scorpio since i bought the slim.

debating whether i should trade my ps4 now since its worth $200 or wait for a trade in program for the Neo when preorders become available.

Buy neo on launch day, plug it in, turn it on. Relegate old ps4 to bedroom duty.
Might do this. If hard drive in Neo is 500GB, and is the same model drive as the one in current PS4, will swap out my current 2TB into the Neo and put the other into the PS4, and make std. Ed. Bedroom system.

I ended up selling my PS4 hoping that the neo is released this year. I listed it high on a Craigslist and someone paid full price. If the neo doesn't come out this year I might pick another one up if I can find one cheap.

I obviously wait until more info is available. So I won't say I got plan x and will follow it regardless of the news.

Currently, the Neo does not seem worth any upgrade purchase, so I likely won't ever consider it as it's not a big leap. The Scorpio however might be promising if games are optimized for it. I also do not own a 4K tv and don't plan to get one until the content and games are there.

Current plan is, if Scorpio is as substantial upgrade to the XB1, I will get that and most games there forward and will also get me a 4k tv to accompany it. Currently no interest on VR as it's just to expensive and has no games I am tracking. More interested in NX to keep me busy if it comes out early next year, but again, we have no concrete info on any of these three.

Edit: If I do go the Scorpio route (most likely), I would sell/trade my XB1; would even if only for $100 off the Scorpio.

Depends on what sort of trade in I'd get on my PS4, if I think it's worth it I'll trade it in, if not it'll likely turn into a Netflix/Youtube box in my bedroom while the Neo goes in the living room.

I want to know the release date of the neo first. If its coming early next year i will keep my ps4 this holiday. I am debating if i should sell my current ps4 because it the rare metal gear limited edition that i actually like. Or just buy a new one and sell the controller that comes with the system brand new to reduce the price of the neo( already have 2 limited edition mgs5 controllers)

As for scorpio. I sold my xbox one after E3 because all the games coming to pc so i dont see any value on keeping the xbox as i have a gtx 1080. If anything i will get to play those games in better graphics and cheaper down the road. So i am not sure what is the future i have with project scorpio .

My plan is to wait for those used XBO/PS4 prices to bottom out, then scoop one up for dirt cheap.

Trading XboxOne OG for 150-200 for 300$ Xbox S , then buyinf samsung ks8000 within the year , then trading xbox S for Scorpio

First, I'm picking up my 55" Samsung 4k HDR TV this September. Then I'll pick up a Ps4 Neo and give my OG Ps4 to my little brothers.

Edit: As for Scorpio, I'd rather just invest in a PC since MS is releasing Xbox exclusives on PC.

I currently own a PS4 and no Xbone.

Picking up a Scorpio early on. (Possibly Day 1 depending on price and my current situation once pre-orders are up)

Won't buy a Neo until my ps4 dies, or there are a considerable amount of games out that REALLY improve the performance.

Already sold my PS4 before Neo comes out and it's worth peanuts. Just been gaming on my PC/WiiU/XBOS/N3DS/PS3 in the meantime. Will buy Neo day 1.

Waiting for spec comparison and cost vs. PS4. Need to see graphical fidelity between the two. Probably will wait until my PS4 dies if it ever does or a decent trade in program.

Well I can't trade in my Xbox One since I had to open it up but I might just leave that version in the living room and put the Scorpio in my game room as I should own a house by then and I'd have rather that hooked up to a monitor.

Trade in PS4 for Neo at launch probably.

Might just sell Xbone off and swear off Microsoft consoles with their UWP initiative.

Sold my PS4 today for $280. Selling my extra controller tomorrow. Now I wait for the Neo.

Have a great PC and haven't touched my PS4 outside of Uncharted 4 in months so I'm good.

Got a PS4 with a 2TB hard drive. It would be awesome if I could just put my 2TB hard drive full of games into the Neo and have all my games ready without any extra hassle.

But I guess I have to install and download everything again...

How to licenses work on PS4? Are they bound to the console, or bound to the account? How to transfer licenses between PS4 and Neo?

I was very excited for the Neo because I am all Sony exclusives this generation, but then I started thinking, since I can only afford one more console this generation, if waiting a year for a Scorpio could be the best move.

I already own a PS4, so, in theory, all Sony exclusives will still be playable there, and this way I could also have access to MS exclusives and a third party machine more powerful than the Neo in just one year.

For me I'm not going to bother with the Neo upgrade, my PS4 just doesn't get the use, so unless some amazing games popup which take huge advantage I will stick with my PS4 for now.

On the scorpion front I will decide next year when we see what the whole concept is for that platform as I already own 2 Xbox ones I will most likely sell my launch Xbox one and upgrade that one - then keep my Halo edition

The NX will be on the Horzon early next year also so I'm pretty sure I will be picking that up also.

Shall also need to pick up a 4K TV if that where the next Xbox will truly be pushing out at

i'll get a neo when it's out. right now i have a ps4 and a pc (i7-6700K/16GB/1070). I'm not interested in Scorpio especially if Microsoft are bringing their exclusives to Windows 10 now. i was always going to buy a new PS4 when one came out even if it was just the usual slim model we got with previous consoles. the fact this one has more performance is even better!

i dont gonna buy a new console anymore, no enough exclusive games, life span 2~3 years... sorry but i go back to my pc.
