Do people seriously buy used hats?
Well, I'd imagine people would buy used hats from goodwill if they don't have the money.

It's about style in my opinion. While I don't wear snapbacks anymore, I personally liked the look of the sticker still on the hat. I'm from NYC where this is the norm.

Do you leave the price and size tags on clothes you wear?

It doesn't piss me off it's just silly.

the sticker isnt a price tag. size tags do stay on clothes because theyre usually sewn inside the collars

i for one like the look the holo effect gives the hat

It's not the hat and the sticker themself, it's the sort of people that actually wears them. It just screams douche

so taking off the sticker will suddenly wipe away the douchiness? you sound very sheltered

Why would anyone want to buy a used hat? i don't see how value is a point here. Its just some lame style

maybe some hats are made limited edition? a lot of times people buy em to collect & display, not wear

Do kids or rappers still leave the tags on their sneakers?

Pffft. All the cool kids leave their sneakers in a box and never wear them.

Get with the times old man.

I always assumed it stemmed from people originally trying to create the impression their hat was brand new and they have lots of money for new hats, which makes it hilarious when the hat is all beat up and dirty but still has the sticker on it.

Do you ever wear your hat at night, when it serves no purpose other than as a fashion statement? (not that you're wearing it as a functional accessory anyway)

Do you have symbols (like sports teams) on your hat, which have no function other than as a fashion statement?

Oh, you answered yes? THEN SHUT THE FUCK UP about other people's stylistic choices (hologram tags).

Some stickers are meant to stay on, and are a huge pain in the ass to remove (super-sticky adhesive, etc). I just don't bother with those.

I agree with plastic wrap that is meant to be removed as soon as you open the product, though.

I'm not sure where it originated from, to be quite frank. Honestly, I'm also not claiming that when you remove the sticker the hat is merely a piece of trash either; the sticker is not what I bought the snapback for. It just looks nice in my opinion. I'm not one to wear beat up clothing so more power to the ones that keep the sticker on while the hat looks like shit, I guess lol.

The number of people that still have a shitload of stickers/plastic on their TVs is crazy. It drives me insane. They're really distracting too, I have no idea why people never tried to take them off.

Where does that comes from. You take hat stickers very seriously

I hate this crap.

A sports logo and a product sticker are two entirely different things. One supports a favored team, another supports a brand.

I'm not criticizing the style, just hypothesizing where it came from. The sticker plus the flat brim seem to be an attempt to make it look as new as possible. Ironically, when I was young enough to still be wearing baseball caps in the 90s, it was the height of lameness to have a flat brim.

This is a different story. Those stickers don't come off easily and when you do take them off they leave sticky residue on them. It takes forever for the residue to come off.

Oh, this? I hardly notice those things so I leave them on.

Generally when I use electronics and they have stickers on them, if they're not being an obstruction to the actual use of the electronic device, I usually leave them.

I know, and didn't say you were. I apologize if I came off that way.

And I too remember the lameness of a flat brim. I still kept them flat, though. I hated the look of hats that were forcibly curved. =P

I kept the plastic wrap sticker thing on the edges of my monitor for like 2 years so that dust wouldn't mess up the material or whatever. I recently took it off though. But in terms of advertising stickers or something I don't see a reason to keep them on.

Looks like they're trying to be anti-conformist by keeping it on or something (which is the opposite of reality since almost everyone here in NYC keeps the sticker on and it's become a fad itself). I've seen it translate to people who keep the tags on their jeans/shirts and shit, it's just dumb imo.

I mean if you legitimately like the look of the sticker and think it accessorizes the hat then that's okay I don't get angry about it or anything but I doubt many feel that way and are just following the fad. I'll also add I do agree with the other poster in saying most people I've met who wear stock hats seem/are douchey.

Do you wear holo stickers on your shirt and pants? No? Because that would look stupid?

Yeah stickers on hats are no different. They're cheap pieces of paper with glue slapped on the back. Youre wearing the hat. We all know its not new. You're not fooling anyone.

Take them off. Take them off right now. RIGHT NOW!

I posting on an HP Laptop having those stickers on it: Intel pentium, Windows 7, Important notice for safety guides and Energy certificate.

I wear a hat at night if my hair is messy. For me it isn't a fashion statement. It's a lazy statement.

Hats aren't shirts and hats aren't pants.

Unless you're crazy.

Takes under five minutes. They absolutely come off easier than most stickers.

Back in those days there was a product that you could put your hat in, and run it through the dishwasher, which would bend the brim and give it the weathered look. Such was the style at the time. We also wore onions on our belts and asked for five bees for a quarter.

Except for just the one, where the residue won't come off at all. I'm afraid ill have to scratch it off somehow but that'll probably scratch the plastic. I need something to dissolve the annoying glue, yegh :/ Damn Intel sticker.

Yeah, huge pet peeve of mine too. My friend has clear stickers on his xbox 360 controller, cell phone, and the front of his dvd player, etc and I asked him why he leaves it on once and he said "I don't want it to look bad with fingerprints all over it", but I argued that having clear plastic that slowly peels away over time looks worse than fingerprints you can wipe away in a second. To each his own I guess...

Stickers worst enemy.

All you need is a tiny bit on a microfiber cloth or something. You are done.

I have the screen protector sticker on my Roland XV-5050 from about 10 years ago. I also still have the " Full HD1080p" sticker on my tv from 4 years ago. Kind of scared to remove it actually.

The worst one, and I got this from my cousin, is my 360 controller still has the sticker inbetween the right stick and d-pad and on the battery pack, but it's my 2nd controller so it rarley gets used.

Unnecessary LED lights really piss me off. Especially needlessly bright ones. I just can't fathom the thought process behind putting such bright lights that you can't turn off on little electronic devices.

I keep all the semi-protective plastic on all my new phones and on the bezel of my monitors until they peel off on their own either from heavy usage or heat.

Looks like new when they finally do come off :)

Actually that's not so bad, its mainly the stickers with the "statistics" on them that induce this pet peeve.

Overall I'm pretty chill about everything, but something about this, idk. First world problems I suppose.

1. Remove stickers
2. Apply moisturizing cream on glue residue
3. Rub with some cloth (or even just your bare fingers)
4. Clean the surface up with some cloth
5. ???
6. Profit!
