People who sport neck beard on purpose

I feel like taking a photo of my beard right now and letting GAF judge if it is a good beard, I am quite proud of it frankly, except the "handle" part of my left mustache where it connects to my beard, I was trimming it a bit this morning, I accidentally took quite a bit off there. looks a bit "bare"

Other than that, it is a pretty bad ass beard,

lets start posting photos of our beards GAF, someone needs to go first, I ain't got the bollz!

Am I the only one who can't grow a proper beard? This has been haunting me for years.
In my 20s and I can't. I grow what the average 13 year old has. It looks like shit too so I get a little bit carried away with making sure its shaved. I wish I could grow a real beard though. What's wrong with me.....

I also have like no hair anywhere else. No chest hair...dafuq and :(

That's not hair, that's boot polish or some shit, Jesus. Why is it so shiny and perfectly defined? Urgh.

I cant even connect my mustache. You know the part where people would leave to make a Hitler stache? For some fucking reason, hair doesnt grow there. FML.

I have the exact same problem. I can grow a really good reverse hitler 'stache but for some reason my mustache doesn't connect in the middle. It's fucking annoying because I have to shave every day or else I look like a fucking idiot.

some of you are certainly obsessed with other peoples looks.

No one cared about neckbeards 2 years ago. Why is this suddenly a thing?

And why is it even called a neckbeard when most of the hair is on the chin. wtf is OP even talking about?

Haha! I don know why, that sentence killed me! I'm just picturing you dissapointed, looking in the mirror at your half assed, pathetic beard and reaching for the razor.

Also:
I agree with Mr. Sosa above me, that dude in the OP doesn't. Have a "neck beard" it's more like a goatee, minus the mustache. A "chin beard" if you will.

I grew a neckbeard for about eight months, managed to piss off everyone around me because they hated it and made me look like a weirdo ( I wear glasses too). Parents hated it, friends hated it, chicks hated it (although that really didnt change after I got rid of it-maybe it had nothing to do with the beard lol). Maybe I kept on growing it because people really hated it and I got a laugh out of their outrage.

Finally got rid of it in the summer after it got too damn hot to bear.

No pics exist which only motivates me to do it again...

true story: once I shaved my head and grew a huge ass beard as accompaniment to that shaved head

people started calling me the white rick ross and i stopped about a week later by shaving my beard lol
That's actually what I look like. Shaved head, full mountain-man beard. I get white Rick Ross and bald ZZ Top.

Always thought a beard under the neck would just be too itchy and a bother.

But I have to admit, never figured out why it's associated with 'nerds'. It seems everyone is an equal-opportunity grower of chinstrap fur.

Because gross nerds are generally not too big on the whole hygiene thing.

I am really bad with beard terminology. Does the term "neckbeard" refer to generally growing (and not shaving) hair in that area or just to leaving that hair alone and shaving the rest like the guy in the OP?

I was always under the impression that a neck beard (aka neard) was a beard that "nerds" grow. IE, untrimmed and ungroomed.

I never knew people grew facial hair just on their necks. I'm blown away that they think they look good.

Well... I feel awkward with my normal beard. Be right back, I'm gonna shave.

My facial hair still looks pubey. Not sure if it's because I never shave with a razor or what. I only trim with an electric hair/beard trimmer.

I think it's just age. I went from electric, to mach3, to bic, to safety razor in like six months, and safety razors are the best. Maybe straight-razor next. I quite like using the safety razor, it's quicker than the electric, but I always felt the electric gave the closest shave b/c I could pretty much mash it against my face. The problem was that it would leave bumps/ingrown hairs, and doing the neck was tough.
