Wait a second, haven't we had this thread already? And I still haven't seen these bottles in stores yet.

I had to double check the date this thread was posted. Yea I seen them all already. The thread compared the old pepsi logos, and cocacola logos and such.

redesign looked bad months ago when i first saw it... still looks bad.

only thing that will possibly make it look better if:

1) a new redesign is even worse
2) memory of the old logo fades

If you wanna see a bad redesign...

What were they thinking?!

I don't mind the redesign at all.

It's unnecessary, in my opinion, but it's not bad by any means.

Of course, I'll go on record as saying that I don't know what the hell they were thinking with "Mtn Dew."

Hmmmm I actually like the redesign, especially Mountain Dew.

Except the bottles look like they have wrinkled foreskin on them.

The Pepsi can looks good... though not as good as it used to. Can't say I dig the bottles, looks like some cheap energy drink.

Those are actually early mockups. In store, the bottles look normal.

I only now noticed, but does the logo actually change for each type of pepsi in the final product, or just in these mockups? It seems ridiculous to me to actually change the logo to be skinnier for diet pepsi.

Yeah each bottle logo is different. Apparently the white stripe is a smile... yeah. A smile.

The Pepsi logo is actually pretty good, I think; it's really clean looking, which I can get behind.

The Mountain Dew redesign is unacceptable for such a godly, delicious drink.

Sierra Mist... eh. Don't care. It could be okay for certain people, I think.

But that earlier thread didn't have a link to a terribly dull youtube video he's pimping like crazy!

Yeah, what's with that random youtube video?

You should be happy we're giving views to your video on your YouTube account, OP.

Also, I remember the old thread about this. I don't like the new redesign. I don't think it fits. Also, Pepsi > Coca Cola.

those bizarre ones from the OP make noe sense because the shape of the logo is inconsistent making brand recognition more unrecognizable

Old pepsi logo lives on...

Is the one on the left the original? Why the heck is an "e" the Pepsi logo?
The one on the right rocks.

Too bad Mountain Dew sucks. SUCKS.
Actually, I don't mind it but I hardly have it.

They're like soda cans from some futuristic first person shooter.

Originally (in the original thread), I was appalled at these designs. But really, pepsi had some horrible designs before and these are a vast improvement after seeing a store that had new and old bottles next to eachother.

I'm not fond of the new actual pepsi circle thing but the layout is interesting and works, and the bottles aren't super cluttered with OMG WIN 2324352345 MONIES EVERY DAY!!!!!!!!

They're minimalist but clean and with saturated colors and pretty good fonts.

And to the people hating on the sierra mist. wtf. that's easily the best one.

I mean wtf people look at the old logo:

I think the Pepsi design is by far the best. I love it. This recent "4027492374 can designs" phase they went through annoyed the hell out of me.

The final version of the Mountain Dew can looks a lot better.

Sierra Mist is horrible...just...why?

in canada it hasnt changed. weird. you guys get tested on. i want penix pepsi bottles lol.
The ugly "silver surfboard" Diet Pepsi cans appeared here something like 4 months after the US. Give it time.

looks like an intern designed them.
I need to find out which agency pumped these daddies out and go apply there.. its obvious you'll have no interference from a creative director.

Really horrible looking... totally amateur.

that animal planet logo :lol
It's breaking some concrete typography rules... you never squish and stretch letters like that 'N' and its like they spun the 'M' for no reason (I've been trying to figure out the concept, but I think it's apparent there is none)

Just tasteless.

The fact they changed the design of their logo makes no sense to me, you show me that logo by itself, and I do not know what it is.

Cokes redesign didn't change the logo nearly as drastically.

I think the clean look idea is good, the execution, not so good. And the fonts are terrible.

Oh, and I the Pepsi Max..I look at that, see the colors, and the '0' on the middle of the lower label, and my brain tells me 'Coke Zero'...good job pepsi, looking at your bottle makes me want a coke zero.

Sierra Mist one is like it's made in Photoshop by a 9-year old.

The rest...I like them.

Hey, Gaussian blur is some pretty advanced stuff...

I didn't even notice it in the first thread, but it's neat how on the diet pepsi, the white swoop between the red and blue is thin, then the regular pepsi is a little thicker and the max is huge.
