Well, at least I had that to keep me entertained while the board was down. So far I've mostly been downloading them as they show up, later I'll try more out and see what's worth pursuing. The content has come fast and furious with the contest deadline.

So far I'm messing with Duffers Golf, Atlantis, Air Buccaneers and Red Orchestra. Looking forward to Frag-Ops and a few more.

Any thoughts on the new content available? What are your most promising upcoming mods?

Most are betas of course. And you need the new UT2004 patch for most of them. Some of today's new content is updated betas as well.

It's crazy how much extra content you can get for this game. My UT2004 folder is already 7.2 gigs, and that was after I uninstalled Red Orchestra (reminded me too much of Enemy Territory). Frag ops looks awesome too.

IIRC, it's hit the tilde (~) key to bring down the console and type in "behindview 1" to turn on the 3rd person view.

Yeah, I know, but it resets to 1st person every time you die, and doesn't seem to work online. I'd love to have a way to make third person the standard view as an option.

Midnight was a deadline for a mod contest, I believe sponsored by Epic but I'm sure someone more in the scene could set you straight. The big sites beyondunreal, planetunreal, etc. all have info as well. I'm just partaking in the bounty.
