Persona 4 Dancing All Night |OT| Aha! Is This Our Dance?

The best way to think about it is that the button presses are an additional clap pattern on top of the song. If you play it exact, you'll get a suitable clapclap-clap or whatever above whatever song you're playing to.

This was really helpful advice. I don't play too many rhythm games so my brain was getting confused about the timing the notes are going for. Really feeling it now.

Favorite track to play/listen to so far is Now I Know (Yuu Miyake Remix).

... After 15 tries, I was CERTAIN I King Crazy'd this song. But no. One Good. One goddamn GOOD.

I am cry.

Scratch Notes are also graded based on timing, so scratching too late or too early will result in a "Good" rating.

Are they ? I had the impression they had no rating and wouldn't count on the total notes in the score.

At least, I didn't saw any rating when hitting those notes.

The Backside of the tv remix gets me super hyped I really need to trackdown some Lotus Juice outside of Persona!

Send me a PM when you do find. Also, check Anarchy Reigns OST. It's in the same style and I am not sure if he's one of the artists.
It's still damn good.

Ratings do not appear for scratches, but after playing around 70 hours of this, I know they definitely factor in.

I listen to that and Madworld all the time really awesome stuff and if I find anything I will.

Every time I think I get close, my big, dumb stupid thumb hits a button I don't mean to push, I see 'GOOD' flash onscreen, and I just barely resist the urge to hurl my Vita into the nearest wall.

Pretty sure it's clear a song on any difficulty, though I suppose I'm not 100% because I always cleared them on Hard first.

I've been playing them on normal cause I suck at hard and I've run out of new songs. I have most of the songs on Brilliant. Gonna try to get em all at Brilliant and see what happens.

There's a song you did not clear that you aren't seeing.

Wii try experimenting with this. My impression of scratch notes is that they only affected score, public and combo.

Scratch Notes aren't automatically counted as "Perfect" in the score results. They qualify for "Great" ratings, too. Try to scratch a note too early or too late and you'll even see how it's registered during a song, as the "Combo" gauge moves but doesn't increment. Anyone who's played All Night extensively trying to get King Crazy would know this because of the songs where they're particularly tricky.

One obvious thing that will clue you in, though: If you scratch too early or too late, the lights on the side of the screen will be green (for a "Great" rating). If you scratch even worse, the lights will be blue (for "Good"). If you scratch for a "Perfect," the lights will be yellow instead. The sound effect of the scratch also changes depending on the timing.

Praise the sun/Helix/Izanami/whatever the fuck.

Prrof that complaining on GAF helps. Every time.

It's on Normal but I don't even CARE. All my yissssss.

Nice, congrats! I've King Crazy'd some normal but I can't work up the nerve yet to try on Hard. i've only managed to get one on Hard Mode Specialist and I'm convinced I blew a years worth of luck getting it.

I can't decide if Shadow World (DE DE MOUSE shadow swing mix) is either a really really cool song or a really really awful song

I love it when combined with the visuals, but dislike it greatly as a standalone song.

It's also my least favorite remix of the song, considering there's like 3 versions of it alone in the game...

Just curious, does the dancer in the song background react to what you do? Like if you miss a few notes, do they mess up their routine as well, or do they always do the same thing regardless of your performance?

Do I have to go back through the story scenes and choose every possible speech choice to unlock a trophy? I remember one of the arena games had a trophy for 100%ing the story and it drove me crazy trying to figure out what I could have missed in a frekin visual novel esl story mode and only for it to be some speech choices.

Always do the same thing. Only immediate feedback are characters in the background voicing their disappointment when you miss notes.

No.

Congrats I've got all day to play tomorrow so I hope I can git gud and do the same!
Thanks. Good luck!

Thanks. I am officially scared of Hard. In my mind:

Easy = Normal
Normal = Hard
Hard = Fuck my life
All Night = U gon die

I ain't got King Crazy once yet so pretty impressive to me.
Thanks. I watched the video for the gameplay on Youtube and it looks much easier than it actually is.

unfortunately no

i always liked in ouendan your poor cheer squad would fall on their ass when you missed a note, and as you approached failure state they'd just stand there and the camera would zoom in on them flopsweating

Thanks for the info. I haven't played many rhythm games outside Rock Band and Guitar Hero but it must have been Ouendan I was thinking of with the cheer squad messing up with missed notes in the background.

The hardest thing for me on the higher difficulties is hitting the scratches. I've been using the triggers, but even then I'm pretty bad at hitting them without losing track of upcoming notes.

LE or regular? I'm suppose to be getting the LE, & it was ordered with Prime (from what I was told).

Nothing today, & I have no way of knowing if Amazon sent it yet, let alone if my friend actually played the order (was told in June they would, but then lost contact with them a few weeks later). Guess if I don't see anything by Monday, I'll have to order from Amazon or Best Buy.

regular.
it says my game is being prepared for shipping. i got a notice that i will get it oct 3rd.

they took the money out of my bank already.

should have gotten it from gamestop. would have gotten it sooner and i think it would have cost about the same. (i got free shipping)

No matter how many times I try to look for P4D dlc on my vita, it just keeps telling me "there are no content items."

Why can't I see the dlc :(

This Snowflakes remix, I can't even.

I'm glad the CE has a beefy soundtrack but it's kind of a bummer you have to get the Advanced CD to get everything. (Speaking of which, anyone happen to know if it's on the Japanese iTunes?)
