Persona 5 reveals 3 new characters

Hey, Anne is great.

Love how she is super relaxed during the beach scene. I am pretty sure once the game is out people will recognize how cool Anne is.

I really like her expression in that scene, and would be great if she is more than she appears at first. Like super fun or something, but right now im basing her in the majority of anime co leading female characters, where I usually prefer secondaries because they have more fun quirks.

With "rumor" you mean "stupid and baseless fan theory"?
It's obviously not true.

Baseless fan theory, sure, and of course it's not true. Stupid? Well that's uncalled for, I thought it would have been cute. No need to call people names.

It's the guy that's on the train in PV#3 and the one sitting next to Ryuji in PV#4.
Judging by appearance, it doesn't look masculine or feminine.

It's not impossible, but I wouldn't bet on it. It's probably just some random class mate we see regularly. His behavior doesn't seem very Morgana-like.

I think he's just some lame social link NPC at most, like Kenji in P3.

If Morgana has a human form I think he/she has a groovy personality, or then he/she is simply a cat.
The guy in trailers is like the most vanilla person there is.

Makoto all the way. Wonder if whatever form "cooperation" takes, like Persona 3 and 4, we'll have 2 or so other girls that we can romance that aren't in our party.

Why does this series keep using high school students? I grew out of the high school phase after I graduated high school. That's probably why I still prefer Persona 2's characters over the others; they're more relatable as adults doing adult stuff. It'd be cool to see a future Persona use young adults again.

Most party members in Persona 2 IS were high school students.

the interview has more details on characters, prologue and some game system. I am sure gematsu will update it soon.

They confirm just like P3&P4, the story will take place for 1 year.

Unfortunately our series don't always grow with us, target audience is what it is.

I've been in work life for over 10 years and still ok with high school, though.

I didn't care about Splatoon girl but... Aoi Yuki.

I need dual audio, please Atlus!

But honestly, Makoto is the best one, I love punchy girls and she looks like a damn badass.

I'd be cool with a college campus setting, but I do enjoy the daily activities, tests, general social setting, etc of a school. I think it lends itself better to the social link concept.

It turns out, there are other people in high school right now.

right

now!

Joking aside, this sort of setting will always have an audience. I can't imagine them moving away from it any time soon, especially with the general fondness for youth and school years in Japan. But who knows?

I'm somewhat curious if the Milady is an obvious tell to the 'betrayal'/getting caught situation that the protagonist finds himself in with the police/the enemy group (who make reference to knowing about the new variant of the shadow realm), but that almost seems like too obvious a tell.

Have to wait and see, I suppose.

Romancing Makoto first.

I hope they reveal male characters, too. This makes the party seem like a harem.

Until these three were revealed there were three dudes and only one girl (and a cat). And there is a fourth dude who hasn't been shown off yet, except on the box art and the odd promo pic here and there.

So, 4/4 gender split, not counting the cat.

????

4 guys
4 girls
1 cat

There's 4 boys, 4 girls, and one unconfirmed gender. It's fine.
Joker
Ryuji
Yusuke
New Guy

Anne
Haru
Futaba
Makoto

Morgana

Muhahahahahaha

I've been super busy and am not up to date with Persona news but can't recall if there was a thread about new guy characters. All I remember from old trailers is Ryuji.
