Persona 5 reveals 3 new characters

Characters are looking great. I'm excited for the release date now, not that I wasn't before, but student council president trope is bank.

Only thing missing from p4, and no, that weirdo doesn't count.

We're in the same boat. I sometimes pretend like I'm fascinated with raitoningu (don't even like that game that much) just to see people lose their shit that I could be so in love with a character. XD
 
The main love interests are often the best, with Ellie, Ginko, Katsuya, Rise, and Mitsuru being amazing. And those are totally the main love interests, I don't care what anyone tells me.
 
I'm a fan of Futaba, even though I know her fanbase is gonna be god awful. But I'm a fan of her design and she's voiced by Aoi Yuuki. God damn this game.

Makoto is naturally gonna be in my party at all times though. The games not even out yet and I'm already butthurt that we're never going get to dual audio in any Persona game ever.

The more i see Makoto, the more i wish she was main heroine and not blondie, but who knows what is going to happen

We need more info on the guys of the cast. Iirc we don't know much about the blue haired or brown haired guy.

Haru has the upper hand right now becuase I really like her design in and out of battle. And I dont actually like meganekkos in animes, but the smirk Futaba has in some scenes makes it seem a little bit more funny, actiony and interisting.



Isnt the leading girl the inferior girl of Persona 3 and 4 also.
Yukari is super bland, and even if P4 hasnt got that really leading girl aspect to it, because each girl has nearly the same amount of importance (and Chie and Yukiko being friend for the start), Yukiko could be seen as the normal girl out of the group, typical of some animes. In fact, that doesnt happen only in Persona. The most boring female characters in animes, when theres a group of girls, is the majority of the times, the leading girl. Even happens in Mass Effect with the boring ass human female.
Quirks that people like are usually left to the side characters, that are usually less important to the story, but also have usually bigger fanbases.

We know a fair bit about Yusuke.

Yusuke is an honor student in an art course at the Kosei Public High School. Orphaned at a young age, he was found to have artistic talents and he is currently a live-in disciple of a famous Japanese painter by the name of Madarame. He eventually joins the Phantom Thieves of Hearts.

Madarame is presumably the old guy in the golden traditional attire going cray cray so we can even infer that his motivations for getting involved are tied to that.
Also we know his starting Persona is Goemon.

That's at least on par with everyone else that was officially revealed, if not more, in my opinion.
Brown haired guy hasn't been officially revealed yet so probably E3.
 
I never played a Persona game before but I want to know if I can get into this game, is there any gameplay? Is it real time action/strategy or turn based?

Of course there is gameplay. its turn based and yes you can get into it

It's turn based gameplay. It's kinda like Pokémon with Waifus, and a much better story. At least in terms of the battles. The action is relegated to dungeon crawling though.

Turn based RPG combat(think Pokemon if it wasn't cumbersome).
I think if anything sets it apart from other RPGs is that the studio seems to hone in on making the turn based experience super smooth, responsive and fast working against some of the cumbersome reputations those systems have.

As for other gameplay it's presumably rpg combat, exploring dungeons, managing school life(class, relationships, side activities).

Hmm thanks for the descriptions you all provided. I'm only a fan of turn base when it comes to Pokemon but I am open minded. Once you beat the main story is there stuff afterwards for the game?

I don't know why everyone thinks this. The face mask is Morgana incognito, because as of PV#3 we know they can shapeshift. The other character may be supporting character/s.link character who isn't really involved in what the main cast does.

Nope once you beat the story it's over. You can either reload a previous save or continue in NG+ with your player level and stats carrying over. The former let's you get better personas faster and the latter opens up some new dialogue options, ie you can ask out a girl early on because you have max charm.
