I'm sure we'll get Persona 5 proper on the Switch eventually. It's not trivial to port (look at how long the DQ11 Switch port is taking), while Omega Force has been using the same multi-platform Musou engine for decades, making a Switch release little more than a compiler flag. The fact that they are bothering to release it on the Switch means that they think a Persona audience is there, and I can't imagine they'd think that is the case if P5 wasn't coming.
Personally, I haven't played any of the Persona games, but I play all the Musou games, so I just went and popped in P5 into my PS4 and I'm installing it now. The one thing I can say about the Musou series is that even when their license games suck, they get the best licenses, so when a Musou game is announced in a new license, I pay attention. It is thanks to Musou games that I read One Piece, Berserk, Fist of the North Star, and Heroic Legend of Arslan - I've never been disappointed and One Piece and Berserk are my favorite things ever. I was already familiar with Zelda, Dragon Quest, Gundam, and Fire Emblem because they were already my favorite things ever.
Seriously, you can decide which games to play, which manga to read, and which anime to watch based purely on what Musou games come out, and you will basically hit all the high points of Japanese anime-style entertainment. The fact that they've chosen Persona 5 to join this club should be seen as the highest possible praise.
