I have a mini poodle, and the most I do is shave him down during the summer (keep the afro and the poofy tail), and then a light trim during the winter to keep his curls from going nuts.

I just feel it's non-productive to allow people to just call out specific races. It should fly each way, regardless of race.

To act like only white people treat their dogs ridiculously like shown that video is absurd. I've seen many people treat animals like they were their own children.

I just want to see consistency here. Do that and I'm fine. I think everyone is deserved of that.

I don't think it's abusive unless your dog hates water/ the groomers/ being handled etc. lots of people also use chalk or vegetable based dyes to colour change their dogs. It's not a necessary practice by any means but is not harmful unless the animal is upset by your actions. Similarly nail polish and bows etc aren't a problem unless getting them on the dog distresses them in which case of course your pet's happiness is more important than fashion.


A well styled poodle as seen below is a gorgeous animal, I'm not a big fan over the creative cuts for competitions as pictured earlier though. It shows what you can do with their versatile coat but it's not exactly a look people keep on their dogs for weeks after the competitions are over.

It's a jab at how white people tend to be rather privileged and dominate the culture of wealth, so they tend to have enough free time and money to spend on stupid things. It's similar to joking about how white girls love starbucks, pumpkin spice and ugg boots. It's barely an insult when it's punching up, and it doesn't really perpetuate any harmful stereotypes about white people aside from "look, they're rich enough or have enough free time to do kooky shit".

Idk, it's really weird to see you dwell on this. But whatever.
