Peter Moore made a comittee that pored over NeoGAF after EA was named worst company

Anyway, gimme some more of this:

I have no idea whether these are legally possible but do them anyway.

Hey Peter, if you're reading, please don't send Titanfall 2 out to die...

Let it get some more time in the incubator to get it back to Titanfall 1 standards.

Thanks!

So is everyone on gaf actually an EA or Hillary employee attempting to figure out how 'us gamers' think?

Whats so bad about EA again?

Obviously it's because they dump lead into the water supply. They flooded the Gulf in oil. They move their money around to avoid taxes. They test drugs on the poor and their communities.

But worst of all, they make DLC that angers fanboys.

Worst company ever. Next is Comcast for making me wait on hold.

What EA should do is a complete remaster of Mercenaries. That game was amazing.

Don't change the gameplay. Don't change the systems. Just update the graphics and make it all nice and purty.

Can you give examples why EA is so evil publisher?

Online Passes. Everyone copied them.

They also started the Loot Boxes in $60 games stuff with Mass Effect 3.

They also shut down online servers for games, or at least did, pretty regularly. I wouldn't say their as bad as 2K though, who close servers super quick.

When it comes to poor practices, EA are true pioneers of shit.

Think about keeping a gaming community together.
Not community splitting DLC + Yearly milking.

Oh why bother, it's EA.
They don't care, they have people that will buy their crap regardless.

I liked EA best when they invested in all those new franchises: Skate, Dead Space and Mirrors Edge. Whilst I don't care for the latter, the push of new IPs in those few years was enjoyable. The first two even spawned a great sequel.

Is there some revisionist history where Black & White was good? Swear it was trashed up and down when it came out.

Not outright hated. In fact it was quite alright and innovative - I loved it when it came out -, but it was a bit unfocused, and the first crack in what had been a stellar track record up to that point.

You should watch Kim Justice's retrospective on Molyneux. It's incredible: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAuvaAGnqQw

Wasn't the point of Moore that they regocnized some problems and started to change some things? Online passes and Mass Effect 3 stuff happened before this comittee. What is recent evil EA stuff?

I think their sports games could learn something from the Destiny model. A big core game one year, then big annual updates for the next couple of years - sold as a bundle for new players. Then a completely new version after 3 years.

Plus a flow of content in between.

I'd say they're just as bad, but the rest of the industry caught up, and in some cases surpassed them.

They aren't. They learned their lesson after DA2 and ME3 and now have a policy on giving games extensions when they are needed. Dragon Age: Inquisition received over a year in delays and ME: Andromeda has been delayed from Holiday 2016 to ~March 2017. Additionally they've been giving smaller franchises a shot, including making another Mirror's Edge which they can't have expected to sell particularly well given the first one. EA Access is a nice deal for people who like a lot of their games, and they've been slowly improving Origin. And though I've selfishly been mad at EA for not remastering the ME trilogy, their refusal to do so in order to focus on new products seems like a consumer-friendly decision. Even their recent reversal into saying they want to do them but make sure they are done right is at least saying the right things; time will tell if they actually are committed to quality remasters of course.

I think it'd be tough to say EA is as bad a company as they were 3-4 years ago.

They also started the Loot Boxes in $60 games stuff with Mass Effect 3.

And they did it for Inquisition and I hope they do it again for Andromeda. Why? Because the way BioWare balanced advancement, you didn't need loot boxes to have meaningful progress in a reasonable amount of time, and the people who did buy loot boxes funded free DLC expansions for the multiplayer available to all players.

Who's decisions at EA was it to make SSX a dark and gloomy game? Yeah, it got better than the reveal trailer, but still nowhere close to Tricky or SSX3.

Hi, Peter.

The black market for FIFA ultimate team codes still exists and they continue to do nothing about it.

He's not wrong though. It was completely stupid they topped the list considering how companies in other industries were actually affecting people. No video game company should top that list unless their games gave people cancer and they tried to sweep it under the rug or something. That's the internet for you though.

Peter is a nice fellow.

When I requested compensation for BF4's terrible launch, he was there for me.

Yeah, now that you mention it, I remember that Battlefield 4 was the first and only game that I ever asked for a refund for. Crazy thing though was that after they gave it to me they didn't remove the game from my library. So they gave me the refund and let me keep the game on top of it. That might have just been a glitch but man, that made an impact on me and I couldn't be upset at all at them about BF4 after that. It made the wait for them to fix the game almost completely tolerable while I played something else instead.

If i am not mistaken, Most of the EA criticism came from their poor handling of employees and business practices and less to do on their game output.

Hey Peter.

Since you were so passionate about actual user feedback, why didn't you adjust one bit according to feedback? And while we're here, could you please turn that Dungeon Keeper Mobile cashgrab into an actual game?

I thought they'd turned over a new leaf when they released Dead Space and Mirrors Edge within a month of each other back in 2008. But nope...

It *was* ridiculous that they kept winning that thing when compared to companies that actually do physical and financial harm to wide swaths of people but I'm glad they at least took the right message from it. EA's a much more consumer friendly company now than they were 5 years ago.

Eh, so long as we're being watched...

...when y'all gonna get a team to make a new Jedi Knight/Outcast successor, huh~?

I guess people saying "complaining on the internet isn't going to change anything" can finally sit back and enjoy the countless of counter exemples from small company to big one.

Great attitude to have too, instead of cower and blame other people they actually tried to listen and admitted to being wrong at least sometimes.
