It's clearly a vehicle for in-jokes but for as shit as licensed stuff can get, it looks way better than I expected.

I don't know much about Pewdiepie and I've only seen a few of his videos but from a gameplay perspective it looks like it could be fun. Like it you said it's a vehicle for in game jokes and most would probably go over my head.

It reminds me of the AVGN game where imo it turned out to be a solid platformer with some good jokes from his series but if you weren't familiar with his show you may not get the point of the game.

I'm glad the developers paid close attention to their pixel art aesthetic and didn't use non-integer upscales that would produce images where some rows/columns of pixels are thinner or thicker than their neighbors, and that I'm not at all quoting an image of them doing precisely the opposite and making a sarcastic remark to highlight it.

I have this on my iPod and it's pretty sweet. Plenty of content, feels good to move around, bounce off enemies.

I don't get any of the references 'cos I don't watch PewDiePie. But this is a well-made, if kind of simple 2D platformer.
