Phantasy Star Online 2 Second Alpha Test invites sent [Update: Test Schedule, Client]

Just back home and wanna play some PSO2, but left with 3 minutes so I'm just looking around the PS2.5 graphics before I get booted.

I'll be online at 8am EST tomorrow. I don't have it in me to stay up late or wake up any earlier. Just too damn tired from today.

Just got done playing PSO for 4 hours straight with a friend. For those in the beta how does this hold up to the original PSO?

It's PSU combat evolved, of course it's solid. Not sure what to make of the level design. But some of the maps are huge. However, unlike other mmos . . . the jump function here is actually really well utilized. Be it in combat or when traversing the field. Also, the autofollow has a pretty decent pathfinding ai to it, as in it also jumps pass obstacles if need be.
 
I've been running around in game and I haven't seen any GAF guys yet. Might be too late for some people. If you see Xorn running around, that's me. If I make a room, the password is believe. Hope to see some folks in game.

Just to say, the game is like they took PSU's combat system and said, this is a good idea but it's horribly boring, so they combined it together with Monster Hunter, PSO and Devil May Cry. Technics now combine into eachother, allow charging and allow you to combine together combos of technics.

The whole game feels extremely fresh and feels like a true sequel to PSO, if you did or didn't enjoy PSU, you'll love this.

So much hatred for those in the beta right now :(

Hopefully the NA version will be out soon after the JP version.
 
Did a Rockbear boss in a level 10 group.
Talk about intense.

Finished for the day, about halfway to level 15.

Ticket into Closed Beta = punched.
 
I've been online for a while playing through some quests on my own. I just started another so I don't want to quit out. My room's titled 'Solo' and the password is Sega123 if anyone wants to join. I'm rolling around as a HUmar named Blue.

Edit: Ship 2, Block 20 of course.
 
sorry did't get into the party, I was too low level to join so I joined some random party to level up first instead. I'm very close to lv14 now. :D

We ended up two manning these two gorilla looking things and we managed to win. Not sure how, but we did. It was a lot of fun, but they really should tone down the adds. Either way, I made it to 12. Can't wait for next week.

You guys spent 2 hours on that thing? I tried to join in to help but no luck.

Yeah, at first I thought there was only going to be one then another one of those things came into view and wow. Those things stomped me hard!

Awesome that you made it to twelve! We can move onto that next mission next time.

Yeah, a lot of the enemies were packed with HP and came in swarms so it was pretty hard to deal with all of them until I got my new sword.
 
Today was an absolute blast. I have not had this much fun with a Phantasy Star game, wait no, ANY video game in years. This time around my 360 controller worked and I figured out what most of the menus do so I didn't feel frustrated by it and had some fun solo runs. Shortly after my last post I was joined by some people from PSO World and we started tearing through quests and a ton of good stuff started dropping. Ended up with some rare units and a unique 7 star whip weapon. Fuck, I had so much fun.

The servers were at maximum several times today. It was so bad that the official Twitter account was just apologizing and asking people to try to log in later. It was lagging a lot but it was still so much damn fun. PSO is back, guys. :D
 
Still wasn't able to properly play. Does anyone know how much time is required to hit lv 10?

Not much at all, you can hit the 20 cap in a day if you do it right.
