Phil Harrison's influence on LittleBigPlanet was "pivotal"

Phil was probably the biggest proponent for user-generated content on the platform... LBP is his legacy as far as I'm concerned.

And now Harrison is alone in the dark at Atari :(

Just seems like a niche title to me that people are over-hyping.

I was going to say something about this not being "pivotal" to how PS3 fares...

Is this really going to sell 6 figures in the US? *hmm, 100,000 seems pretty low. Make that 200,000 :P

(That said, I'm looking forward to it)

excuse me but he is a manager/PR guy ,it's not like the guy is of Miyamoto or kutaragi caliber
Is one of the few decent and charismatic guys around in the industry, plus he made Little Big Planet (when Miyamoto turned it down) among others games, possible. Enough said.

Harrison was the last bastion of hope for all Euro developers. The forum has always gone crazy over PR friendly people, see Reggie.

Phil Harrison and Ken Kutaragi played major roles in bringing the Playstation brand to what it is now. Phil wouldn't have been given his role at SCEWWS if he didn't understand games. He was VP of 3rd party relations at one point IIRC. He will be missed. I'm not really in love with the Kaz Harai/Howard Stringer era of things. It seems like a much more confused, much more desperate SCE than before. PEACE.

what has phil done at Infogrames so far. back when he was at sony there were regular 'whats phil doing these days?' updates...i dont remember seeing any of those since he left.

Oh harrison why did you leave to Atari? WHY!!!!! T___T

I will miss your bald head i really will, it was soo sexy :(

There was a short video and a few interviews with him. He's probably busy trying to save Atari from sinking.

I loved how Phil usually talked about what Playstation was doing, not what the competition wasn't. This new PR guy also doesn't have Phil's charm. Thank god he helped make LBP into what it is now.

I propose GAF goes on a hunger strike until he comes back... if it works for Ghandi why not us.

Come on Phil if you only waited a bit longer you would have been SCE CEO. With Kaz in Power SCE has much more power over Sony
