This is really cool. I had always wanted to do something like this with my half-completed Gundam EZ-8 model, since I lack the skills to actually paint it properly. I wanted to complete the plain model, photograph it, paint it in Photoshop, and then insert it into photographs. Basically, what you did!

I'm glad to see this stuff being pulled off so well, particularly those Haruhi and Appleseed ones. Fantastic!

I have to say that despite the concerns some people are airing over the subject matter, the photography is really very good, and the photoshopping is great.
