Transform your digital library into something tangible and permanent. Create a personally meaningful collection of physical games frozen in time and playable forever.

Turn any DRM-free game into a physical cart
Use SD cards or other external media as carts
Play without internet, accounts, or restrictions
Preserve your games as permanent, playable artifacts

Daddy likes!

Imagine how wealthy that guy must be to take his Steam games that are 100's of GB's each and place each one on some proprietary hardware with flash NAND and bring them into the physical realm.

All jokes aside, Go watch some classic LGR videos for the authentic Big Box PC games of the 90's early 2000's

While we're at it, we might as well create a 56k modem replica box that plays dialup noises and a "you've got mail" .wav audio clip every time you unlock your desktop PC lol

Pretty cool idea that I wouldn't want to do, but it's interesting. I do miss the big box PC games from the 90's, though. What an awesome time that was. PC gaming felt so special and intimidating with those.

No need as long as digital has competitive stores, like Steam and GOG etc, and can use External SSD and HDD, even if they are more expensive at the minute, no cartridges though and sd cards are too slow compared to SSD. and they are easy to lose.

Fix the concept of digital ownership, make it so you actually own your games - not a license to them, and the problem goes away.

If you want physical then become a retro collector. There's plenty of options.

Part of the appeal of collecting physical media lies in the value it holds for various reasons.

Producing your own physical media has no value whatsoever; it's completely unnecessary.

I saw this yesterday and it looks cool but not something Id pay $7 a pop for

That's pretty cool. There is also this:

That is custom, but it shows some of the things you can do if you wish.

The issue with Steam games are that they are tied to your steam account. Get a new PC and try using these "physical games" without logging in to your Steam account in the new PC.
Depends what you consider to be a 'physical' game
You can login to Playstation and Nintendo consoles with a local account. And use these "physical releases" without ever creating an online account.

All the games in his background do not require a day 1 patch to play.

I guess this might be true for Xbox One releases once the recent Xbox One hack becomes more streamlined and you are able to make offline accounts.

I meant the main distinction bewteen these backups and 'real' physical games being the resale value. Digital games can be preserved this way, but they can't really be sold (in any official capacity at least), so this only 'physical' if your main concern is retaining access to them indefinitely and not having actual value tied to them.

As someone who spent hours and money coming up with the equipment and process to create PC box cases with artwork for my Steam games, I'm the target audience for this. But I don't want a separate OS for this.

Maybe something instead like a cartridge slot that can sit in a CD slot, a quick script to lock your Steam library's games unless you plug in the cartridge, and official support from devs/publishers.
