Never watched an analysis video as the visual metaphors were very on the nose and the writing in notes was detailed. There is not a person that has played Silent Hill 2 in 2001 that did not have their heart jump out of their chest during at least one of the unexpected Pyramid Head appearances. That said, still a downgrade from the original. The original had more surreal atmosphere, better selection of weapons, great pacing, and more emotionally engaging narrative. Silent Hill 2 imitated Lynch too much.

I haven't watched the show so maybe I'm missing something. Is this really a big deal? I don't get what's with the Bella Ramsey fixation some seem to have.

It doesn't really capture the show imo, I have no issues with Bella Ramsey as Ellie tbh, I think she fucking nailed the character especially in S1 but the time jump for S2 didn't work for me in the show whereas the character in the game aged properly and Bella just doesn't have that edge to her, she's a damn fine actress that was unfortunately handed some cringe lines and asked to act tough for S2 and it just didn't work as well the second time around so my issue with the cover is more to do with it's just her "angry" face instead of showing the incredible world, the infected, anything but a mopey looking edgy teen that couldn't fight her way out of a paperbag

I don't really get why people would be in disbelief about that particular image and acting like it's crazy that they used it for the cover. Again, I've not seen the show so I'm not speaking from any point of authority on it and there probably are a bunch of other images from the show that would have worked well. But if I walked past that Blu-ray in a shop it wouldn't stand out as odd to me. So I don't really get why it's a big shock.

I don't think people see it as a shock, in fact, I really think it's honestly just immediately funny on a purely reflexive level due to how people have gotten so used to seeing her in memes that her face is just immediately associated with comedy for a lot of people now. I've never seen the show, never cared to, so when I see her, I just immediately kinda giggle every time as she just has a really downsy face in my opinion and it's just something I associate with silly memes, so I'll probably always laugh every time I see her and I don't know if I'll ever be able to take her seriously in anything despite never having even seen her in a single piece of media despite memes. I've got nothing against her, but my brain has a default association with her now, and that's that she has a funny lookin, mildly downsy face :/
