Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare

I'm more excited for this than the official sequel.

I really love the art style too.

Also I think I saw some PvZ2 plants in there (mainly that new boxing/punching plant), so maybe we'll get to see the new plants in a decent art style after all.
 
I was thinking EA had turned it into a competitive FPS but in retrospect that was kinda dumb. I really liked Orcs Must Die so this looks pretty interesting.
 
Kind of the exact opposite kind of game that appeals to the people who made Plants vs Zombies popular, but it looked pretty fun for me.
 
I just realised EA owns Popcap now (or have been for a while, dunno)... I assume that means Popcap games will be Origin exclusive on the PC in the future. That is heartbreaking.
 
I would love to get this game, but all I got is a Wii U... This kinda seems like the kind of game that would sell on it. Man, Fuck EA.
 
I think this looked fun. I hope they detail all the various game modes though. Was really hoping it to be less tower defense and more team fortress.
 
Why bother buying for the XB1, when you can wait to buy it for the 360 without the DRM shit. Anyways, the game looks like Orcs Must Die, which is a good thing. Day 1.
 
I had a giant smile on my face watching this.

The last direction I ever thought PvZ would go would be to make a class-based third person co-op shooter with tower defense elements. Kind of brilliant.

Same with me, I was in 2 minds about what it would be, but what was shown made me very happy indeed. It looks heaps of fun and on top of this it has a very nicely visual design.

I'm actually amazed that out of everything shown so far in E3, the game I'm most hyped for is a PvZ themed defence style game.

Looks fun .. but in the overall picture, making it look like a shooter and make a modern warfare reference out of it is just too much ... it's not like there is a saturation in the genre in what has been showed .... at least it looks a bit different I guess ....

Now is it really console exclusive ? (well Xbox exclusive ?) cause that would be even more lame xD
 
So was this playable on the show floor and if so did anyone play it? I did some googling and can't find anything except the demo from the EA conf.

They showed the same demo from the EA press conference in a theatre.

We confirmed at the EA press conference that it's coming out first on Xbox One and Xbox 360, then other platforms soon after, which is basically "PC, and other platforms." Here's some more info we have: http://gamerhorizon.com/e3-2013-plants-vs-zombies-garden-warfare/
 
Is it the first game that takes advantage of the publisher"s main competitor's famous game in order to advertise itself?
I mean, it's so twisted, and it'll work so well for them. Some people already asked me if it was done by the COD guys and that they were insterested in it because of that.

This could be one of those debacles that CBoaT said that Microsoft paid for exclusive non-mentions. EA cannot mention if there is a PS4 version. Kind of like what happened with Diablo III on consoles.
 
This game have one of the best graphics I saw at the E3. I totally love the style, the humor and the gameplay.

Can't wait to play it ! (on PC of course and maybe, I hope, on PS4)

I'm not (some exceptions of course), it's messy and confusing for players, and the videos I saw lacked all charm that made the first game tick so well.

I thought it was parody with the posters, but then I saw the real thing and it suddenly dawned on me Popcap is now EA something something. I fully expect this to bomb hard to be honest.
