I seem to recall a rumor that Platinum was displeased with SEGA's handling of the marketing of their games, and so far it seems Nintendo isn't doing a great job of raising awareness of and explaining the gameplay of TW101. I'm also guessing Platinum doesn't want to be tied too closely to a struggling platform. We're more likely to see some partnerships with other publishers.

Really wouldn't mind seeing Nintendo buy up Platinum at this point. They've got a close relationship and Platinum could really breathe some life into a few of their IP's *cough* Star Fox *cough* Takamaru *cough*
Hell w/ Nintendo and Capcom's recent relationship bliss they could even get the rights to Okami 2 and send it over Platinums way because Okami + Gamepad = Obvious choice. -hopeful wishing-

As much as I'm excited for Bayo 2 and TW101, I don't see why anyone would hype up 2 already announced games in this sort of way.

Wouldn't mind that either but i've been itching for Okami 2 on WiiU/a new Star Fox and I can't think of anyone better to handle that than Platinum.

This thread is already full of people writing them off if they don't reveal a PS4/X1 game.
That would never happen even if Nintendo decided they didn't want to publish the game. Sega won't take that risk unless Microsoft/Sony moneyhatted it and I doubt those two companies care enough to do it.

Nintendo really should purchase platinum games. The Japanese equivalent of retro...sort of...not really...but fucking both are fucking awesome.
I think they would really help plug a mature title void. Sure it's never going to be like owning a ps4/one but it would enough combined with great Nintendo titles. It wouldn't make a difference with the mainstream hardcore gamer, but might help justify the purchase for a hardcore gaf gamer.

Eh, that would just ensure that I wouldn't buy their games anymore. They'd end up losing money by not producing multiplats.

As glad as I am that Nintendo saved Bayonetta and is letting Kamiya work on W101 it would be terrible to have a studio like Platinum not being able to work on better hardware than Wii U.
