Platinum'd Bloodborne, on to the next challonge

Next challenge ? Try demon souls on the ps3 or natural doctrine on the ps4. The later doesn't have anything like BB except for a hellish, but fair, difficulty.

I'll give Demon's Souls a try as well as Dark Souls, especially since 3 is on its way. Is Natural Doctrine another Miyazaki production?

aw really? he's pretty fun. just level up more and he's not too bad.

Now that I think about it I actually did try to rumble with him legitimately but him using that Old Hunter bone and just being adept at parrying ME kinda discouraged me from trying. So yeah I ended up cheesing him unfortunately.

A dank place where you learn humility and the only thing that will save you is a shaman's bone.

Egh....I have some in my inventory but I don't think I've ever used one

Thank you for the pointers and quick strategies, I really preciate it. I'll make sure to keep my head up ;)

"Don't give up!"

You will die no matter how careful you are and how high a level you are. Sometimes the shittiest mob in the game will kill you (or at least throw a wrench in your game while you are fighting a harder enemy).

There are some bosses that you may attempt 40+ times.

I actually find bloodborne to be harder for me than the Souls games. The faster combat is something I never quite get used to. I think too slow for it.

Dark and Demon's was more methodical and slow paced which is easier for me.

I thought you were referencing the tap dance episode of The Cosby Show.

Lol nawl. I AM aware of the "uppity" way of spelling it like someone mentioned below but it was a legit typo

One question OP

Did you cheese him?

I cheesed him on two playthroughs and just beat him on the one I'm doing right now. He's a bastard for sure.

I think you should master the art of spelling. It seems like the perfect challonge for you.

Play the other souls games, they're better than Bloodborne (well, except for DS2, but it's still pretty good).

Platinum'd both, just waiting for my Platinum theme already.

On a side note I keep trying to Platinum new games im playing but man most of these other games trophies suck ass. Uncharted wants me doing multiplayer bullshit and whatnot, man Bloodborne did trophies perfectly IMO.

I'm not a fan of the trophies that have you doing things you probably won't ever do in a playthough, like there was one on inFamous where you have to ride the train for like X amount of in-game miles...why would I do that when I have all these other powers at my disposal? A lot of times in the amount of time you have to wait for the train to pass by you can just glide or run to your destination. I've heard the Gears of War achievement "Seriously" is pretty crazy

For the Well in the DLC, use the Shaman Bone Knife thing. They killed each other for me.

I knew holding onto those bone knives were gonna help me in the future somehow, good looking out

You're not in trouble. Difficulty in these games are way overblown, and thankfully, BB is the easiest (save for TOH DLC).

It's just all about timing for ripostes and learning when to attack, and when to avoid. Every enemy has a pattern, every enemy has a windup, etc. Trial and error gaming.

Once you get through Bloodborne, I suggest going through the 3 Souls games. Get Demon's on the PS3 first, then play Dark Souls 1 on PC, and 2 on either the PS4, PC or XBO. They all follow Bloodborne's strategy of rolling, riposting, and timing your attacks - though everything is considerably slower.

Fun as hell, but not hard once you get into the swing of things. Just a higher barrier to entry than other modern titles.

Great, now platinum the other three games in the series. BB was the easiest platinum, but has the hardest bosses (especially the DLC). That is, until you play Demon's Souls NG+...

Just finished the queen.
Man, the chalice dungeons were so boring.
Honestly reminded me of MGS V, feels great to play but hated playing the same shit over and over.

Yeah I didn't like the chalice dungeons either. After my 3 playthroughs initially I stopped playing after the first 2 chalices. Just didn't find them fun. After DLC came out I got back into the game so after getting the DLC trophies I decided I may as well get the last 4 needed for the plat. That unfortunately meant doing the CDs.

However after hearing people say how hard certain bosses were I was suprised how easy I found them with the kirk hammer. I did the watchdog in 3 attempts. After Ludwig he was so slow and with a tiny moveset I wasn't really sure what the fuss was about.

As for people comparing souls to bloodborne I feel they are rather different in many ways and DS 1 & 2 are both easier simply due to blocking and magic. I always feel the people who say bloodborne is easier are the people who play dark souls melee only and shieldless. In that case yes, bloodborne is easier. But its built from the ground up for that type of gameplay. Dark souls isnt. That's focused around various types of combat with its main focus being sword and shield. That's why shieldess is hard, sword and shield feels about normal and magic can feel easy.

Also there is no plat for the DLC.

Yep, the DLC definitely conditions you to top shelf bullshit, so all the bosses in the chalice dungeon were whatever.

No. Natural doctrine is a srpg and a very difficult one. I like to recommend it in these souls threads because, just like souls, either you learn all mechanics or you will die a lot until you learn.

Might give it a shot then.

Anyone have any solid tips for
Ludwig
? I have a +10 Holy Moonlight Sword, Ludwig's Holy Sword, Burial Blade, and Whirligig Saw at my disposal.
