King of Swing was a nice little puzzle-platform game for the GBA - The sequel is coming out later this year on DS. There is essentially NO Japanese requirements whatsoever, you'll figure it out in a flash - use the L & R buttons to have DK clench his fist, grabbing pegs and climbing up levels, throwing rocks, or bashing enemies.
Pac 'N Roll [JPN] [DS]
US$ 13.52
A great little platform game where you use the touch screen to roll Pac Man around like a ball, picking up pellets while solving little puzzles. Highly under-rated, in my opinion, and you won't need any Japanese knowledge, if I can recall correctly - any additional missions are "Don't hit these" or "Beat in the time limit".
Bargain prices for both, really.
