You get a lot of MMR from a win. I went to a different server after hundreds of hours on NA and got a win my first game. Part is definitely luck, but you do start getting matched against better players pretty quickly.

Now that they are resetting leaderboards and internal MMR values for all players you will get 3-5 games that can be very easy wins for you.

I've got an issue with memory leak.
PUBG seems to pile on RAM usage every time i open up the inventory, until it goes sloggy after a few minutes.
The game also freezes for a sec or two every time i open up the inventory, which makes looting annoying.
Anyone else also have this problem and managed to fix it?

You on an SSD? My wife had that issue until I upgraded her to an SSD and she only has 4GB of DDR3.

Also, sometimes the inventory freeze is just server lag.

Third person is almost certainly going to stay on top, simply because it's easier and more accessible.

Third Person and First Person queues will be separated, you can pick either or.

TP que will stay as top dog because it's more accessible and welcoming for more casual and/or new player of the game. FP will be more demanding and hardcore experience, which will have its own yet smaller audience than TP que.

Some big BG streamers like Summit and Sacriel have said they would go all in on first person only queues.

I also expect first person only to be go-to mode for tournaments / eSports scene.

I dont think i really grasp this games shooting mechanics well. Is it just me or does it just not feel good to ads like, say, battlefield?

It's probably just me not being that great with a mouse.

On console, with a controller, I am a 2-3 kd ratio in battlefield style games. On pc I potato like crazy sometimes, and shoot lasers others. My mouse play just feels so damn bad compared to the feeling of console shooters.

In pubg I can out position and still lose the fight. It's kind of maddening.

As a BF player I can tell you that something does feel off

I turned off mouse acceleration and smoothing in the windows system settings and the game settings (config file edit) and it made a big difference

I would also suggest setting your ADS sensitivity much lower in the game settings

I think I set my 4x to 40% and my 8x to 30% sensitivity

I've been winning games non-stop the last couple of days. Getting insane numbers of kills, too.

That shit is not reflected at all in my statistics and it's kind of bothering me. No, my highest number of kills in Squad NA isn't 4. It's 12. It's been 12 for several days now. I have more than 3 wins in Squad. I have more than 3 wins in the last two fucking days of playing Squads.

It's not that they're charging money (completely), it's that the devs said multiple times in the beginning "We don't do anything paid to the game before it comes out of early access." and then they did anyway.

It's more specific to this dev that people are pissed about it, versus just the early access/paid features idea.

So I'm watching...딩셉션 (dingception), and the way he plays would INFURIATE western streamers. He hangs around the edge of the map, he avoids conflict, and he pretty much waits till eh circle minimized until he gets into actions. It's a legit way to play, but it's funny watching someone like him and comparing to DrDisrespect for example.

edit: also he punches out windows like I do so he gets points

He actually plays solo fairly similar to the way Viss/Break/Chappie play. Fairly conservative in the beginning; doesn't tank circle damage like the aforementioned do but the interesting thing from watching his stream is he nearly entirely avoids towns, and even when he gets looted he'll play edge through the first few big circles. I might give that style a shot when the stats reset.

All this animation stuff they have shown has no ETA.

I imagine reason being that getting hitboxes to properly sync up with models and keep the sync during fancy leaps, rolls and falls over networked PvP experience is tad difficult. To this day BF games struggle with that stuff and vaulting can render you invulnerable.

Yeah the network sync one is huge. Like, currently I have an issue where if I alt look around me, then let go of alt, my game will get network lag just because the camera turns too fast lol

Just had my first round. Landed in a small compound of two buildings with one player nearby. I ran inside the building looking around for stuff, and found a sickle on my way to the roof. I had a look around and saw that the player spotted me and they had an AR, so I just had to wait it out on the roof for them to go up the stairs and hope they weren't prepared. I managed to ambush them and get a kill with two hits, so I was quite happy with that.

I then proceeded to look for a vehicle, and ended up running for aaagess and found absolutely nothing, until I got shot at then run over. I was okay with this because I was just running like a maniac down the road trying to get the the play area in time. Apparently I had more time than I thought because another player took the time to shoot at me?

Even my most gamepad heavy friends gave up trying and opted for KBM instead. I think you can do it, I just don't know that it's viable.
