Is there any official word that they're working on optimizing this game? My biggest concern is that the game will linger in early access and not reach it's full potential due to small minor updates (adding weapons, gear) rather than big updates focusing on feature completion and gameplay improvements.

The last patch(or one of them) was a huge improvement to performance. No reason to think they will stop here.
They've already done a lot of optimization. Game's been running better(performance-wise) with every patch.

Eh, I saw quite a bit of improvement on a 470. Not sure anybody would call that a high-end GPU.
It was a huge performance boost all around. My 970 saw a huge boost. They also added better multithreading for cpus.
They're already releasing optimisation patches on a steady basis, some big some small.
They're aiming for a full release by the end of this year.

Yeah I feel like on my 970 from my first game a month or two ago to now I'm getting a much higher and more stable framerate most of the time. I used to hover around 47-50 and now I can get up to 80-100, though I have it locked at a mostly stable 60fps (lobby, plane and fast vehicle travel tends to dip it). The patch notes are consistently filled with optimization improvements and they've been very regular.

Regardless of performance boosts, the game is still way too CPU dependent.
I gave my GMG code to a gaffer but it seems the code only redeems on the account they send them to.

Its just currency for crates that give you cosmetic items.

Nope, and they never will with how the system is in place currently. Honestly, they could offer the in-game currency to buy with real dollars and I wouldn't be bothered, as long as it obviously stays cosmetic only. Then again, I'd also buy a $20 rainbow wing parachute as well. That you'd have to spend five minutes packing away

Yesterday I got a message that said sth like "The host ended the game". WTF is that about? I had a good start with 3 early kills and dank loot, then it just ends??..
Yes, but why not just let him use your account and pay using his own PayPal/card?
You may want to start considering upgrading that GPU if you're gonna be playing newer games at that screen res.

Yo Playerunknown was apparently watching Grimmmz and Dr DisRespect stream together, saw the latter teamkill, and banned him from the game.
He tweeted about it too. Looks like he's taking rulebreaking seriously.

This game is straight up about survival and the mechanics are as such that you still need to move or you'll die anyway. It's not a huge deal.
If teams that know each other team-kill once for comedic effect (see the Giant Bomb Murder Island stream for example), that should not be bannable, IMO.
If you're actively ruining the game for others, that's where it gets to be a problem.

Considering it was outright griefing (killing someone because there wasn't room on the bike) I'm glad they got caught.
I'm happy teamkilling is in the game but only because you can kill the occasional griefers and teammates who scream slurs.

I'd say the doc team kill was more of the later. He could have just left the random to find his own ride.
He was in a squad with randoms? Yeah, then that's a shitty thing to do for sure.
