PlayStation 4 All Access on 11/14 - 11pm EST on Spike + Live Stream

Just spotted a commercial on Comedy Central. Sounds like this event is going to be the Sony presser I've been waiting to see ever since the very well executed PlayStation Meeting. I really hated their conferences ever since then. They weren't talking enough about the stuff I actually wanted to see more of, but if this thing delivers tonight, and signs so far suggest that it very well might, then all will be forgiven.

Bring it, Sony. Give us a nice look or sneak peak at the big stuff you have coming in 2014.

What to expect;

- Sony's 'top-secret R&D lab' + news on new PS4 tech (VR headset?)
- New Infamous SS trailer + release date
- New MGSV trailer + announcement (exclusive content?)
- New Destiny trailer + announcement (more exclusive content? or release date?)
- TLoU story DLC trailer + possible PS4 port announcement?
- New PS4 game, possibly space themed, from ND
- Yoshida and Boyes revealing new info on Sony WWS games and third party games (possible new reveals here too)

Wasn't there supposed to be something from Capcom?

Really looking forward to watching this tonight. Hope GAF doesn't crash from all the hype!
It's going to crash isn't it?

Just checked my local Spike listing and it says the even doesn't start till 11 PM PST. Was hoping it would actually be you know, LIVE.

We'll see then. Can't say I trust what Geoff says, he's just hyping his shows as usual.

And it works every single time. I've seen a commercial for this, and they pretty much advertise it as Sony showing their heavy hitters for 2014 and beyond. Either way, it finally sounds like the kind of show we should've gotten at E3. Got the DVR set. Will have this one in all its HD glory.

Why? People say that he can't be trusted, but when has he actually hyped something that didn't deliver? And I mean him hyping it, not people on forums taking him saying something minor and turning it into a big deal. He hyped last years VGA's. What was revealed there? A new Metal Gear and Dark Souls 2. He hyped the 2011 VGA reveal from Sony. What was that? A new game from Naughty Dog, and one that happened to be from a secret team that no one outside of Sony even knew they had. When he actually hypes something it's usually for good reason.

And of course, as usual, my cable provider in Arizona is broadcasting this on Spike two hours after everybody has already seen it. Yeah like I'm going to stay up until midnight. Thanks Cox! Thank goodness for the stream.

This is looking to be an exciting event. Wonder if it will even outdo the VGAs?

Did anybody parse what these hints are;
New genres, revived franchises, spectacular open world masterpieces, scifi epic ship to ship battles, pirates, ninjas, lootwhoring, chickens in radiation suits, point and clicks, music to set your heart aflame, BASE jumping in Nepal, capturing all your flags, angels and demons losing their minds, and a boy, his friends, memories and tears?

Some of them sound very specific.

You know what? I actually hope Gaf crashes tonight (which it most certainly will). That way I'm not tempted to spoil any of the surprises while I'm at work and can watch the recorded stream with fresh eyes after!

It is live at 11 est. You can stream it or watch the east coast feed

Right, sadly the east coast feed isn't being shown on television here in PST until 11pm PST. I think that is what he was getting at and what I noticed earlier. Not a huge deal, but I rather would watch it reliably (right?) on television live than via web stream.

Pretty much. I'm going to watch the live stream but as you said TV is more reliable and should be better quality too.

I wonder if Sony will move toward the Nintendo Direct approach by having their own conferences throughout the year to reveal new games and then use E3 as more of a place to feature demos, updates and one or two bigger reveals?

The February Event and now this, combined with Sony's comments about tailoring content to what they feel their fan base wants to see. It could be we'll be seeing more and more of these type of events (especially during the first few years of PS4) so that Sony can drip feed new and exciting announcements throughout the year.

ps heaven? vita heaven? one can dream.

Anyone in the UK going to be waking up at 4am for this?

I'll wake up at 4 here in Scandinavia yeah, and then watch the show live at 5. I'm super excited, so I'm going to sleep in 40 minutes, so I can get up early.

I think these are a possibility:
- Sony's R&D division gets on the scene, talking about the PlayStation Camera and Dual Shock 4 motion control. No VR.
- New Infamous: Second Son trailer showing off neon powers and an official release date.
- New Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes trailer and announcement of PlayStation-exclusive gameplay.
- New Destiny trailer and a release date.
- The Last of Us story DLC trailer and release date.
- Sony Santa Monica game announced.
- Ultimate Street Fighter IV announced for PS4.

I think above are realistic but I'll be disappointed if that's it. I don't know what else to expect. I really hope for something more surprising than the above. Like The Last Guardian, an old Sony IP revived or a Virtual Reality headset.
