So is there a particular website we can go to that we can buy the tickets from when they go on sale? Or do we just go to the actual movie theater websites?

Lol western hills is a huge section of Cincinnati and is far from rough. Talk about painting with a wide brush. It is certainly not Indian Hills or Hyde Park but that doesn't mean all of western hills is "rough"

Western Hills? I kind of wish it was back in Oakley again because of it being relatively close to Mason. Will probably still make the trip this year though. Each year they've had it was a good experience, even with some weird technical hiccups and the poor "after shows" they'd host.

That's at least 5 people now in this thread that I have seen in the Cincy area. We should meet up if we can. Also you guys are right that area is not rough in any way, shape or form.

It will be a separate site similar to the link above, you select the theatre you want and print the tickets. It is not done thru the actual movie theater but thru eventgrid.com

E3 has become a global event, Sony is a global company that's interested in getting as many viewers as it can. I was just expressing something that many Europeans are thinking -- and I know they'll never do it until they start having their own E3 events, separate of E3. Like EA are doing.

Also, I literally do not give a shit about Microsoft or Nintendo's press conference as they're two games companies that have nothing to offer me in the way of interesting games.

You win some and you loose some. I do care about Nintendo but their 9am PDT Tuesday timeslot means I was always either in school or at work and it was a pain to watch it. Meanwhile that's like 6pm for Europe, can't have it all, man.

And like I said every 4 years Im salty when all the World Cups games are schedules between 9am and 1:30pm on weekdays and I get to watch so little of them even when they're played on my continent just so Europe can get them at 7, 8, 9pm. So take that, superior footballers!

That theatre is really nice actually. It's one of the newer ones with seats like lazy boys. As far as the area I'm not sure what you are talking about. The spot where the theatre is would be described as middle class. It's not the ghetto by any means at all

I havnt been there in a while since i worked at the fedex office down there i may give it a shot its seems like they are re doing alot of the theaters with the recliners now

We already have to schedule World Cup games at high noon in the middle of the week even when playing in Brazil, Mexico or the US to accommodate prime time viewings in Europe. Let us have this one, guys.

Besides you're already getting Microsoft and Nintendo's at a much better time than our 9am PDT on a Monday.

If Sony switches it to an early time, they could move the E3 Theatre experiences to larger venues like Performing Arts Centres and have demo kiosks for people to play the games after the presser.

Can't do that when it ends at 11pm EST. I say bring on the EU friendly start time and make the Theatre Experience a mini E3 show floor as well!

E3 is held in Los Angeles. The presser ends by 7:30pm PDT. More than enough of a friendly time to demo games for the press in the place it matters most.

Plus EU already has their own big events like Gamescom. Let us have this one.

You guys also get like 14 months of vacation leave each year (I may be exaggerating a bit here) as opposed to us slaves in North America with only 6 days after the first year of work.
take an off day XD

I'm on the East Coast. They won't keep the venues open till 3am. Plus I'm Canadian so my vacation days are only slightly better then yours.

I think I'll skip this year. I went the last couple years. It's kinda cool being around fellow gamers for the event, but the crowding and lackluster bonuses didn't really feel worth it.

You're in Canada? Why are you complaining? 9PM EDT is literally the best timeslot for us (I'm CDT but still), why are you complaining?

If Sony really wanted to bring E3 to the masses they could hold demos on tuesday and the rest of the Week. E3 ain't just one evening. Fact is they rather not do it. Its a logistical nightmare but Nintendo has proven its sorta possible.

But dont pretend that the only reason we're not getting E3 demos is because of their conference timeslot.

I'm trying to make my pipe dream more logistically and financially viable.

I went to the first one, and I won't go again. I am a pretty big nerd, but standing in line for that show was one of the most embarrassing things I've done to myself in a long, long time. I don't like being the center of attention, and the crowd of gaming "enthusiasts" was drawing a lot of attention. And not the good kind.

Edit: Not to mention all the cringeworthy audience reactions during the show...I would much rather watch from home.
Remind me to never invite you to board game night. Apparently being excited about something you love is cringeworthy. Man I just don't know.

What are you ashamed of? Know what. Don't answer that.

Doesn't the blog link the actual site for tickets? It brings me to a 2015 page with the 2016 logo banner. None of this password BS.

The blog post will update with a link to some eventgrid.com url, im just guessing they will keep the same url as last year. It is possible it will change but since the url seems valid just private it will be the same. Just a guess on my part though.

It says:

Tickets for US and Canada
Tickets, as usual, are absolutely FREE and will be available at https://www.playstation.com/en-us/campaigns/2016/e3experience/) starting Tuesday, May 31 at 10:00am Pacific Time, so set those alarms.

That is what it has said previous years as well and they linked back to eventgrid the company who hosts fathomevents tickets. I guess it is possible they wont use eventgrid again but since it has been since 2014 I dont see why they would change it.

For real, folks. Listen to those of us who have done this the past two years. The tickets will be on an Eventgrid page, most likely the same page they used last year. It's currently password protected. No reason to do that at all if they weren't editing it to be used for this year as well.

At 12:00 PM PDT, the Eventgrid page will go public and the flood will begin.

Oh ok. I'm surprised to see it coming to my state so I'm a little anxious and hope I can snag a ticket. Is there an order limit? I'd like to guarantee a buddy ticket and not rely on them not getting in on time.

We all have our issues. You don't know the guy, don't need to be so condescending with the wet blanket title, never invite you..., don't answer that.

I believe you can only reserve two. When reserving make sure to register the second ticket in your buddies name. They will check names on the tickets and check it with a list and your license/ID.

Here's to hoping that the Eventgrid web servers handle this better this year. I managed to get on the waiting list the first year and was able to still go, my second year I got tickets.

Just hoping I can get tickets this year again, since if you are on the waiting list you have to show up extra early just to be able to get a seat.

i think they also ask for your buddy's home address and phone number, right? maybe even email.

Rag you're the real MVP, I hope you get those tickets.

My theater in Va Beach, VA has never been packed so even if I miss out on tickets the waitlist should still get me in. Ive gotten actual tickets last two years though so not too worried.

What username and password do we enter to use in that link? its asking for one. Unless, it's forbidden and not supposed to be asked, sorry.

The site is not live yet, I am just guessing that will be the link when the site goes live in about 30 minutes.

At mine they just compared the name on the ticket to the list they have and checked it to your ID. Dont recall them looking for email/address.

yeah, it doesn't get verified on the day of the show (just name on their list + person's license) but i remember those fields being there for getting the tickets on the eventgrid website.

Can someone remind me, if I select two tickets do I need to enter the info for two people or just me?

You need to enter the name for each persons ticket. So Ticket 1 - JetBlackPanda, Ticket 2 - PlainWhitePanda Then when you checkin they will check your ID vs those names on the list.
