PlayStation E3 Experience 2016 Announced (Theaters)

They're doing it at my least favorite theater in the city, and it's the only showing in my state, so I guess I'm watching at home again.

Have any GAFers here that normally prefer watching keynotes from the comfort of their own home, been to one of these E3 streams in theaters before? Would you do it again?

I probably would only want to go in person just to see what kind of downloadable stuff they pass out-- don't really need more physical things cluttering up the flat. The SF one is also two blocks from my place so it's mighty tempting.

I have a very nice setup at home and I went. It was fun being around others that enjoy games that much even still have friends from that day and we play online its fun.

I was waiting for them to announce this! I always go to the AMC at The Shoppes at Sunset Place location here in Miami.
Yes last year at sunset place was amazing!! Everyone went nuts during the three announcements, there's even a recording on YouTube of the sunset theater where I come out in the background.

My friend went to one last year and he said it was one of the worst circle jerks of rabid fanboys he has ever seen. Anytime anything was shown, he heard people yell "FUCK XBOX", "GET FUCKED XBOX". Shit like that

Uh, wow. That's disappointing for the crowd there. The one in NH last year was just a total blast. No one was talking about Xbox at all, and I don't know why they would. I guess people at that one had an axe to grind. That's a shame.

I have a decent setup here, and a very comfortable layout for my gaming/watching, but I went last year. I'm definitely going again this year as long as I can get a ticket. It's just a lot of fun to watch it on the enormous screen and sound, with other folks around.

Trying to decide if I want to go by myself here in Denver this year, or if I'm content just staying home. I hated that I missed GAFs reaction to the FF7 reveal last year.

Yeah I was at the Toronto show two years ago and it was a fun time. No dickbags detected. Bit of shouting but drink enough Mountain Dew and shit happens I guess.

OregonGAF, who is going to be attending? My twin brother (CriterionDog) and I will definitely be going! We went the last two years. Weird that it is back at Lloyd Center though...not that last year's location was any better lol.

Well Sony,

have fun in America while it lasts. We'll be here, sad and forgotten in the rain for the meantime, waiting until you stop ignoring us, when times are not as rosy and you need to rely on your true friends.

I envy you. Have fun!

I went last year was great met some gaffers and did a podcast afterwards great stuff. Anyone know how many tickets you can reserve up too on one name?

Went last year in Chicago and had a blast. I shed a tear when The Last Guardian was revealed, the crowd was legit shook by Shenmue 3, and everyone went crazy for FF7 remake.

No way Sony can top last year right?

YEAR OF DREAMS 2.0

I went to the first one, and I won't go again. I am a pretty big nerd, but standing in line for that show was one of the most embarrassing things I've done to myself in a long, long time. I don't like being the center of attention, and the crowd of gaming "enthusiasts" was drawing a lot of attention. And not the good kind.

Edit: Not to mention all the cringeworthy audience reactions during the show...I would much rather watch from home.

This made me laugh thank you

You sound like a lot of fun.

CAN'T WAIT Waterbury got nuts last year.

I felt that way for like 30 seconds! Fuck what people think about you, have fun.

Well, the Conference start at 9PM EDT in the States, wouldn't it be like 2 or 3am in Euro? Do they kept theaters open that late? Guess is not that easy to book theaters at that schedule. I could be wrong...

Yeah that was pretty great. I would definitely miss that.

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I might do it. I work on the opposite side of the city but can get out early enough that day to make it to the theater with a few hours to spare. I know there will be a line, I just am wondering how long it'll be. That's a shitty part of town to just be chillin in a line-- likely wrapped around the corner and down the needle infested alleyway that is Alice B Toklas St.

One theater in WI and it is Kenosha, really? Might as well call it IL at this point.

Used to live there years ago so I know where the theater is but not making the trip. Too long of a drive.

WHERE IN LATIN AMERICA?

Hope it comes to Colombia, specifically Medellin. But it'll either be in Bogota, or not come to Colombia, limiting only to Brasil, Argentina or others.

The line wasn't too bad at my theater. They started filing people in pretty quickly, and depending on how big of a theater you're going to, you should be good. Just make sure you actually have a ticket, because that way they can let you in directly rather than be put in the waitlisted crew.

It was fun, and the 4G still worked so I could browse GAF whenever it was something I didn't care as much about (Like the CoD stuff)

It'll take me 3 less minutes to go to Kenosha vs Chicago. Lol unreal

What? Screw people what's to be embarrassed about. I stood in line with a ps4 greatness awaits shirt while holding a pink 3ds(mine was dead took hers) battling other gamers in pokemon lol. Do you.

Oh wow, I had no idea. Do you happen to have a link to it? I wonder if I show up.

Live your life, dude. Stop being so concerned with other people and with what you consider embarrassing.

Sigh, I was hoping for one in Maryland after having been twice in a row in AZ, but the one theater they added for MD (Rockville) is located right next to Washington DC which has its own theater having the event as well, but both are more than 1h from my place.

Why on Earth couldn't they add the Bel Air Regal instead, to cover a wider area?

Oh well, not going this year I guess :(
Bummer, it really is a terrific experience (at leat it was for me the past two times in AZ).

oh boy, one location in Michigan...AGAIN. Luckily for me, I've been to Lansing before (never Lansing Mall though), so I think I'll give this a shot. Just hope I can get a ticket

No Sacramento! :( San Francisco is the same distance but damn... the traffic and parking is the worst!! Plus bridge tolls. Ugh..

guess i'll take a day off work and a 1.5hr drive to check this out.

are tickets one per person or can i get 2?

You want them to book cinemas for a 3.AM showing?
