Playstation heart Taco Bell?

For those of you that received codes from post cards, did you receive them all in separate e-mails or in a single e-mail?

I got a code this morning, but it was by itself - which is odd because I sent in 20 post cards.

I just was randomly emailed two more codes, upping my received codes to 27/33.

This further confirms my theory that they just dumped all the post cards into a giant heap and get to them whenever they get to them.

That sucks, I'm still waiting on mine, I could be at the bottom of the pile.

The burritos aren't so bad if you order it a bit different. I get mine without onions, another time I got it plain with just beans, and it's much better. Or at least tolerable, I should say. The cheesy gordita crunch is off the chain. Have bought about 6 boxes myself, but no luck. :(

Got another box for lunch yesterday. I didn't win.
I like the burrito, just as long as I don't have it often. That being said, I'm done trying to win. If I'm craving Taco Bell, which tends to happen a couple times a month, then I'll pick one up.

Just tried to buy some extra boxes fro. The local taco bell and while he said no, he also said there's a rumour within the company that people are winning " to many ps4"and that they are ending the promotion early. Take ir with a grain of salt of course.

People gotta ruin everything, just go get a damn cheap and fairly tasty meal, try your luck and that's that.

I don't buy that. They regulate the times someone can win and at what intervals. I call rubbish!!!

That's ludicrous. They make enormous amounts of money on promotions like these. The cost of the PS4s they're giving away is a fraction of a fraction of a fraction (and so on) of the increased revenue.

Do you guys think its possible that all codes are already pre-determined to be winners/losers and that the "winner every 15-minutes" is an average based off how many they expect to sell in a given hour?

Or is something like that needed to be explicitly stated in the T&C?

I think someone said earlier that 2 years ago someone won 4 PS Vita's from this promotion. Not sure if legit but I wouldn't be surprised. Saying "we give one away every 15mins" opens up a ton of possibilities to break the system.

I believe the TOS says that within every 15 minute window (ie 12:00-12:15, 12:15-12:30, etc), a randomly selected time will be chosen. So if you put in a code at 12:01 and the random time for that interval is 12:07, you automatically lose. Once 12:07 hits, then the very first code redeemed from that point to 12:15 will be the winner.

the TOS say nothing of the sort. This is what people have been speculating.

C.
Odds:
The odds of winning a prize depend on when the entrant completes a Game Play.
Prizes will be made available at random times throughout the Game Period, with one prize randomly seeded during each fifteen minute interval of the Game Period . The first person to complete a Game Play at or after the randomly predetermined winning time as determined by the Administrator will be a potential winner of a prize.

Is what the official rules say anyways.

I just received 2 codes today. Just need 9 more. I'm going to send out more this week. I bet they aren't tracking how many codes they send so it may be possible to get more than 33.

HMMM finding a time nobody is playing means instant win if you post it at the end of the 15 minute period.

Got a second box (they wouldn't let me sub a second CWS in place of the burrito) and guess I'll try it sometime this week. Going by that wording, I guess submitting early in each period is pointless, but the likelihood of NOBODY else playing in that period, even if you go early in the morning, seems pretty low.

Edit: Although, what is supposed to happen in the unlikely event that there actually IS only one person during the interval but they submit before the appointed time?

Bingo, or at least MUCH better odds. I'd venture trying around 7-9am EST. Most Taco Bells open around 10-11am, and close around 1-2am. If you can input a code at an hour when no Taco Bell in the entire US is open, then you'd have a much better shot.

I've got a couple codes on standby, but haven't tried yet.

Finally got my first batch of codes from sending postcards, sending another batch out tomorrow and the next day. Took about 12 days then they showed up in my email today.

TBH by the time you get those back, people will be using the online codes...Might as well wait for that?

The problem is guessing when the 15 minute period starts and ends.

Ummm, at X:15, X:30, X:45, X:00 of every hour. Since the contest starts exactly at midnight every night, there is no other possibility.

Even if someone wins, for example, at X:07, the interval does not start immediately, and the next interval will still begin at X:15.

It can't fit in the trash. I was getting about 2-3 boxes a week and it took up most of the garbage. I started cutting up the boxes and throwing them away (which does help) but eventually got tired of doing that. Now I have like 4 boxes in my corner that I need to cut up and throw away.
I feel you man. Ive got so many boxes i could make a fort.

And nothing to show for it either :(

So I decided to grab a box on my way back to school today. I haven't entered the code yet because I thought I remembered seeing on here the people have been having the best luck entering them in the early hours of the morning. Does anyone know if this is the case? I'm on Eastern Standard time, when should I try?

hey cool, my account got validated. I just want to say that I have been following this thread since almost the beginning. im 0-17, I quit....I hate this game. Nov 15th will be fine with me. Taco bell is ruined for me, I get sick every time I even think about it now.

You poor soul. 17 times? That's dedication right there.

I just got my third box, and unlike most of you here, I happen to love Taco Bell. So, I'm fine with my purchases. Yummy!

I haven't put in my code yet, and I'm kind of scared to do it. I haven't really thought of any strategies with my first two codes and just put them in right after buying them. I was just wondering if anyone could give me some helpful advice. I've seen a lot people put their codes in between 3 to 6 am cst, does that actually work?

Also, I tried asking for more boxes, but they said the only way I could get them is if I paid 5 dollars each for them...

i love some things at taco bell...But I need a long, LONG break from it. I feel so gross after eating it now.

From all my tries, I have no advice. This thing is literally all luck. I have tried in the early morning on both phone and website, obviously didnt work for me. It really sucks that you cant tell if someone has already won in the 15 minute interval, you could be wasting your code(which is smart of taco bell to do). I have seen no patterns in how their random selector chooses a time...i just started putting in codes and hoping for the best. 0 strategy

also, something that has not been mentioned in this thread to my knowledge...I am pretty sure you WILL get taxed on this if you win. Pretty sure if prizes are over a certain amount, you are required to get the taxing. So, if you dont have income, watch out for that

It's tax on what will be roughly $550 or so. Unless your state has some outrageous taxes, you won't be paying more than $60 in taxes for it.

17? You poor thing. I finally broke down and decided to buy one and it wasn't bad since I usually like Taco Bell anyways, but 17, I'd hate myself.

yeah, just saying though. Some people probably use other peoples names to enter multiple times a day. I was about to, but I decided to ask them first. And my brother reminded me of the tax. Wouldnt want to piss off people with them getting the bill
