Playstation Move Thread: It Only Does Everything

early impressions seem to be that Table Tennis is the Wii Sports Bowling of the Sports Champions package....followed by....Gladiator?

I actually will disagree. The most realistic has to be the Disc Golf. Getting the spin and everything is just unbelivable. That would be followed by gladiator, and then by Table Tennis... but maybe I just haven't gotten used to it. The most fun I had though was probably volleyball, it's just ridiculous:lol

There is a demo for it on the Move demo disk. I haven't tried it out yet though. Which reminds me, I need to get the Planet Minigolf patch!

Very curious about PM impressions... If it works well I'd definitely prefer that over a full golf game.

More Hustle Kings too, though not as important since I already own that.

Eyepet is awesome. My kids love it. I might have to get the full game.

My 6 year old loved EyePet (we had the "Magic Card" PS Eye Version we imported from Europe). However, the lighting had to be perfect for the PS Eye to pick up the magic card you hold in your head. ANd you also ALWAYS had to hold the Magic Card towards the camera, you could not really tilt it left or right. It was a cool concept, but not the most consistant and a bit frustrating for a child.

Now with the PS Move, that eliminates EVERYTHING. No more lighting problems or magic card issues. I am actually really exciting to play Eyepet with my Move Controllers when the game is patched (I havent put the game in my PS3 in months).

I must admit I am very exited to try out Eyepet with the Move controller. My daughter is going to go crazy over this.

Has Eyepet already been patched for the MOve Controls?

Volleyball the best and Table Tennis last? Your opinion contradicts everything I've heard. What makes Volleyball so much fun?

God, I give up for now. I can't get it to track the ball right at all. I tried different camera positions, verified that the view is fine. Calibration in Tumble keeps telling me that tracking will be poor due to bright lighting. My pointer is now slowly sliding off to the side all by itself.

It's not THAT bright in here. I have all of the white curtains closed, but the living room in my condo has 10 foot floor to ceiling wall to wall windows and I can't do anything about the sun that lights up the room. It's not even all that sunny today.

So I don't know what to do, I guess I can only play move games that track the ball during stormy weather or at night. In terms of being flexible and just working the Wii wins this round.

I know it sounds stupid but I wonder if putting a pair of sunglasses in front of the eye would help.
I've had the same issues as well and I live in Scotland FFS!

TTP's room lighting test (see above post) got pretty extreme and he did have a little trouble at the brightest, but maybe your rooms are really just that bright.

I'm sure everyone here would be interested in pics if you guys don't mind sharing. I don't think this will be a problem for me, our blinds and balcony keep it pretty dark... so here's hopin'.

Sony should have included mini-black hole tech to account for too much light. Partnership with CERN.

Gladiator duel is definitely the most physical of the SC games followed by table tennis.

I'm not liking archery though with two Moves. The front Move isn't aiming properly for me, but I guess that's down to how low my PSEYE (knee height) is compared to most displays.
It's a bitch. My Eye is torso height so it's probably not your setup's fault.

I figured out that when you draw back, if you draw back to chest height, instead of the natural ear level, it fixes the aiming.

It's hard to get a groove going though, because every time I pull back it behaves slightly different than the previous, so I have to adjust my aim a little even if I kept my aiming hand in one spot from one shot to the next.

I just played 9 holes on the Buccaneer Bay course, and frankly, PM is a much better game with Move. I pretty much suck with all 3 of the normal control schemes, but I got an Albatross, hole in 1 and an Eagle on the last 3 holes of this course. The power meter in the right corner shows how far back the club is and you can really adjust it better than the normal controls. I bought this game the day it hit PSN and I've only played it about 5 times because it was frustrating. Now it's one of the games my family will likely be playing a lot! Good shit.

Me neither, I have to aim way up... its kinda weird. I am going to screw around with it some more.

Yeah, I actually found the (DS3) controls a little off-putting (see what i did?) in the demo, so never picked it up, even though the courses seemed interesting enough. But as long as they get the club 1:1 and ball physics are true, that shouldn't be a thang, huh?

Well I picked it up at lunch from GS, but after seeing the Kmart deal, I sent the wife to pick that up instead. Now I can get a second move controller for $25.

Tried Sports Challenge's Table Tennis today at a French game retailer. It was fun and pretty responsive ! I expected nothing less.

I'm now waiting for a Move compatible/required game that I'm interested in to buy it.

Well I had yet to finish the first course under par (I know, try sucking less) but I finished it 15 under par on my first try with the move. I'd actually recommend the game to anyone getting a Move, to me it's the Wii Sports Bowling for the Move.

so there is zero chance of getting RE5 non-gold to work with move - not even a paying patch?
They actually want me to rebuy a game for which i bought the dlc? just to play with move?

:(

Going out to pick up a bundle and Kung Fu Rider.

Any crazy deals that I should know about first hand?

A crazy deal might be buying Kung Fu Rider... have you read the impressions? I have seen it work like it's supposed to, but also heard of a lot of trouble with it. Just throwin' that out there though.

To be completely honest, it's really the only game of the bunch that I'm interested in. Well, that and Hustle Kings with the possibility of EyePet pending my chick likes what she sees on the box.

FYI: Coupon you get with the Bundle isn't able to be used until Sep 26th.

Is MLB 10: The Show getting Move support? I remember hearing something about it.
I believe they said next years edition would. Unless I havnt heard something recently.

Has High Velocity Bowling been patched yet? I just realized I got this Move controller and no games to play with besides that and mini golf game :lol

Ugh, I'm stuck at home while my SC pack is sitting at GS. Wife is at work with the car. :(

Impressions are sounding great. Is the gladiator game still fun with only 1 move? Also getting RE5 as well. Will be my first time playing it, which is weird as I played 1, 2, and 4 aplenty.

The color depends on the game I think.

Actually, I think it depends on what the Eye detects as the most common color of the room, and then chooses a color to contrast that, perhaps simply the inverse.

What color's your wall, Tribal? Answer may be to paint it.

I just can't stop playing table tennis. It's amazing :lol

I'm in the silver at the moment, and the accuracy combined with real 1:1 just makes you able to play with your own style.

Nope. RE5 Gold got patched. Heavy Rain patch coming on the 22nd.

RE5G did, not sure about Heavy Rain

anyone want to start a RE5G coop game? My PSN is DCot13
If you think you're going to be playing it this weekend, add seventy5 on PSN. I have to work tonight but I'm down to play some this weekend, especially tomorrow.

Also, Beat Sketchers seems like a really cool time killer. I didn't see any trailers so I didn't know what to expect, but I ended up drawing a cartoon dude on my couch in augmented reality. Is it a PSN game or retail, cause I'd like to buy it?

edit: TV Superstars is a piece of shit. Might work for like a 4 year old, but other than that, it's garbage, don't waste the bandwidth downloading it.

from watching TTPs lighting video, I'm surprised anyone is having problems with too much light. If you're having so much sunlight that the move isn't working, I'm surprised if your wii works, as I've had issues before with low level sun messing the wiimote pointer up, but my move is fine.

I'm not sure there is a 'standard' for pointing yet, I hope devs settle down on a scheme. Eg the shoot is a more direct pointing method (as its a lightgun game), but other games seem to be happy to use the move as a relative input, and not 1:1 on screen. I've not seen much that shows something similar to the Wii home menu screen for example.
