Playstation Move Thread: It Only Does Everything

I wouldn't buy The Shoot for a buck. The demo was horrible. Just my opinion. I would give the fight a try, but I only have one move, so that's a pass as well.

Played the first level so far... ridiculously fun for me. What didn't you like about it? Can't say I'd ever pay over 30 for it, but 10 dollars? Can't beat that.

It's a pinhole on the lower left of the back side, like so:

I saw that pinhole, wasn't sure if that was it, because it doesn't look like a button. Thanks for the heads up!
Anyone have a problem syncing their wands? I use mine at a friends from time to time, and I always seem to struggle for a minute or two to get it connected. You just plug in the mini-usb and hold the ps button, right? Hold it till it stops flashing? Just for a few seconds? Everytime I manage to do it, I'm never quite sure how it happens. Never have a problem with the pads.
My cousin screws this up sometimes. Plug the controller... wait for it to start blinking, then push the button once. You don't have to hold the button or anything, you'll see it blink faster, then it'll slow down or come to a complete stop. Shouldn't have any problem syncing.

I though the demo was pretty fun, and I like the charming presentation (except for the director's voice). If I see it for $10, I'll definitely grab it.

just got back from BestBuy and got the SharpShooter (there is only one more left) and a navigation controller.

I still can't believe I got this plastic rifle...I am truely a gaming geek, and I'm ok with it.....well, as long as the ladies don't find out. >_<

anyone else spend $70 worth of accessories today?

can't wait to try this out with Killzone, MAG, and hopefully that hunting game.

sharpshooter is not mag compatible.

It is compatible, it just doesn't use any sharpshooter specific features. But you can use it just fine with any point and shoot game.

Should be awesome with Socom though to take advantage of the different firing modes etc.

Sony states it's not compatible, it will just hold the ps move. Talked to Sony Rep about this.

Just finished KZ3 with Move and wow was that a blast! Seriously, if Resistance 3 and Uncharted 3 don't step up and put in Move controls, I will be disappointed!

Hey Shagg, I gotta question for you or TTP or other veteran Move users. Does the wrist fatigue go away after awhile? Basically, will I get used to it?

What settings did you use for Move?

I was trying to play earlier with it as well as the Sharpshooter and grew frustrated with trying to get the bounding box right. I hope it clicks with me because I really want to use the Move (as well as the Sharpshooter) with this.

Gaf convince me on the fight or not. I know it's 10 dollars which has me right on the edge already, but I thought about it rationally and I don't just wanna throw the money awaay if it won't be worth it.

Here's the OT for the game. It appears if you want to burn some calories, the game's a pretty great choice.

10% DZ Width
40% DZ Height
0% Cursor Sensitivity
50% Turn Speed

It works great for me with these settings, but I think its mainly tweaking it for your comfort honestly. Its good to have a starting point though!

I've been wanting to give Move a try, but buying the whole package here in Australia is rather expensive (~$140 for Starter Pack + nav. controller). I actually decided I'd let my wallet take the hit when it was erroneously announced Portal 2 would support Move, but now with no games that I'm very much looking forward to supporting the device, it's again on the backburner.
I'm in the same position with Kinect.

I will say that the implementation of Move in Sorcery really impressed me during Sony's E3 conference last year. If the game itself is good, that'll probably move me toward forking out the cash.

ND have categorically stated that the game will not support Move. It's still a possibility for Resistance 3, if I'm not mistaken.

Did anyone pick up Echochrome II? I enjoyed it for a little bit, but I can't get into it as much as the first one. The new method of level creation is completely lost on me, I can't figure out what I'm doing.

I will believe it when I see it. Uncharted 3 is by far the biggest exclusive of the year for PS3, so I think they might be posturing for a surprise at E3 honestly. I would be shocked if most FPS or TPS PS3 exclusives didn't have move support from this point forward. Sony will push there World Wide Studios to implement Move.

With online!!!!!

This was killer for sports champions. I had a lot of fun playing this at first, and I'll eventually get back to cleaning up some of the trophies, but there's really no reason to get good at these mini games, unless you could compete or play online.

Some dancing game was announced in Taiwan, called Music+, it's apparently kind of like that Project Diva game for PSP. It'll ship in Chinese and English for the Asian release, but they hope to get out an international release.

indeed. who knows?

I AM really lovin' the move controls in Killzone though. Not sure if it's because the auto-lock makes me feel like such a (in the words of Kevin Butler) - "a bad jamma mamma."

Maybe I should turn that on, I turned off all assists.

Well, I'll admit I was a sucker and jumped in on the fight after reading the OT. The people in there are super passionate about the game and its a little infectious. I personally am happy I bought it cause I've played a shitload and its fucking great fun. They'll say it in the OT, reviewers just didn't play enough to level their character enough to really see how great the game can be. And I assure you, you will be sore... oh so sore, haha.

Its fun, challenging and at the end of the session you can give yourself a pat on the back for doing all that exercise.
Its also worth noting that all the reviews were pre-patch. they added transparency to the fighter since then which makes the game way more playable. it's worth buying at full price, nevermind $10!

Indeed it does! You just need to relax and keep it to your knees and it'll be as natural as typing. Watch TTP's newest Killzone video where he shows exactly how to hold the controller. It works like a charm for me and him, it should for everyone else! :D

Oh man :lol :lol! You need to play the game with no auto-lock, no assists and no crosshair (no crosshair is optional but everything is mandatory!). It's so so so godly!

MOVE FOR RESISTANCE 3, PLEASE!!

On a side note has anybody downloaded the new fitness DLC for The Fight?

Its INSANE!!

It had me blowing out of my ass in about 10 minutes, and I like to think I'm a bit tasty in the gym too! Its a real good way to earn skill points and get fit, much better than the standard stuff.
I got it last night and did a 10 minute session on Hard. While it is a nice addition and makes for a nice way to sweat, it is redundant if you already own a workout game like EA Sports Active 2.

I felt that having both a "spar with Duke!" and "spar with a dummy!" was a bit lazy. And I'm almost certain that any form of sweat was induced by the squat jumps. I still like it for when I want to do a quick workout and already have The Fight popped in.

do it! do it! do it!

Your job is to listen to the fans, and I am one, I'm already pretty hyped for R3 but I would be even more with KZ3's caliber Move support :p

Said it in Killzone thread. I'll say it here as well:

MY COPY OF KZ3 ARRIVED!!!

And.... I'm returning Sharp Shooter tomorrow. What a POS this peripheral is. I can't shoot for shit, I can't turn for shit, I can't reload for shit, I can't melee for shit.

When you try to get comfortable, the damn shoulder rest isn't big or comfortable enough.

When you finally get a grip of the controller, the pump action is so sensitive that resting the controller pulls the pump and thus you shoot when you don't want to shoot. The lock button should be added to the damn pump and not move button.

It's hard to use the navigation controller especially when it's all the way in the front and it feels like you're pulling on a bow and arrow. Add the lackluster pump action to it and it's a nightmare. Whoever decided that adding the reload button on bottom is fun is a fucking asshole. Add it to the side of the cartridge!

Best of all, it is fucking tiring!

Don't buy it expecting it to be all fun and games.

I have this very same problem, but it drifts to the left. I first thought that it was due to the usb cable being quite stiff and not keeping the camera still. But I've since stuck it down and I still have it. I didn't notice this problem when I first had it.

Apparently I have the same problem..

I have played:
- Sports Champions
- Eye Pet
- Kung Fu Rider
- LBP2 Prehistoric Moves
- Tumble
- Start the Party

I never noticed any problems with the move.. It just worked fine in all those game in My living room.

Last Night I decided to start Playing Dead Space Extraction. So I took my move and my camera with me to the bedroom, so that I could play it from my bed (I only play PS3 games when the family is sound asleep, so most of it is from my bed with my wife happily snoring beside me) .
I set up my camera and move exactly like i did in my living room. But when I started playing Extraction I noticed that the cursor was situated a bit to much to the right. I played through the first level, but the placement of the cursor annoyed me alot.

So I restarted the game and to let the game calibrate the move again. And what happens..? exactly the same as in the video recorded by Leondexter. It centers right away, but then slowly drifts to the right. And you cannot fix that..

So tonight I will do some serious testing of this stuff.. I have lots of Move games at home, so I will try to see if other games also has that annoying Cursor drift, or if it only is DS:E.
It just seems strange that I only noticed this drifting cursor thing in this game..

WTF? Just saw previews and it looks fucking stunning in HD! How did I miss this gem of a game?!

Edit: And after reading on it, I found out that it doesn't use move to look up or down and you need to use d-pad for that? WTF is this shit, THQ?

Are you too far from the camera when you play in bed?

no.. about the same distance as in my living room. About 2,5 meter from the TV..

but I will try to move the camera around tonight.. just to see if it has somethingto do with the placement of the camera..
