https://twitter.com/ZhugeEX/status/866815610939998208What is a monthly active user and how does it compare with similar metrics from Sony's competitors?
Active players =/= Playstation+ members.
Just to remember.
As of June 2016, there were 20.8 millionI dunno if this helps put things into perspective, but I think in early 2015, there were 11 million psplus subscribers
That's a lotta MAUs!!!!!
Name changeFix your shit Sony please
Nintendo has 7 online connected users through it's dialup service or whatever it offers these days.
This counts people with PS3 and PS Vita too, right? Which means they don't need PS+ to play online. Also, on PS4 they wouldn't need the service (PS+) either.

And now Microsoft will never mention hard numbers for MAUs ever again.
Oh so this isn't paid subscriber numbers?
Sony's bringing out the MAUs!! The competition will now go quiet on MAUs due to being vastly lower.

I read PS Now has 70 million subscribers and my mind was blown for a second.
70 Million is still very impressive for Plus.
Whats that, like 200-250 million bucks a month? Am I doing the math right?
Aside from all the inevitable MAU jokes inbound, it's an incredibly important metric for both platform holders as well as publishers.
I imagine the vast majority of these are PS4 users, PS3 and Vita usage has to be pretty low at this point.
