PlayStation Plus IGC reception on YouTube

Damn right i am entitled. I payed for the service. I am entitled to my opinion that the igc should offer a more rounded selection of games. If it were 1 indie and 1 retail a month(heck 1 retail every 2 months), i think it would a better value for me.

So you'd be happy with this?

What about the retail gAmes we've already got.

Do you see how pointless it is using indie and retail as genres?

Entitlement showing its big ugly nose in this thread

Sony set the expectation that upset subscribers have, by having offered retail/AAA games in the past. I'm not sure why the "entitlement" card gets played here. If Sony hadn't released AAA titles before on the service, then expectations would be a lot different.

But of course, "entitlement" the quick and easy way to shoot down complaints. We should be lucky that we get anything at all, right? Shut up and take it-- that's what we should do.

yeah its been awhile on ps4 since a really good game that i woud buy came with it.. if it wasnt for ds3 i probably wouldnt get it again...but playing dark souls offline is half the experience...

Yeah there are some indies haters but let's not pretend that every person complaining about PS+ is one of them.

PS+ started with high quality rather new AAA and indie games, its value was incredible, now it's just indie games and even some old crap, its value is definitively way lower, still a lot more than the price it asks but that's not a good reason to pretend that nothing changed.

And theres the crux, you dont have to, period.

Not happy with the quality of titles? Please cancel your sub

Not happy to pay for online? Cancel your sub.

Thank you for your time.

It is 100% entitlement and its fucking annoying.

Call it whatever the hell you want. I WANT to play games online with my friends. I shouldn't have to pay for that just like I don't have to pay to be a part of steam. Sony didn't charge last generation and they shouldn't this generation.

I willingly paid for plus on the ps3 after they restructured in 2012 or whenever it was. I would not willingly pay for the mediocre titles they are rolling out. I will continue to pay to play PlayStation games online but let's not pretend they're using that money to improve their service.

I'll do something similar as other poster did. I will do a 0-5 rating. 0 - didn't play at all. 1- played little didn't care for it. 2- played a little more didn't care for it. 3- played a bit, might play more. 4 - played a lot/beat it . 5 - Great game.

Lol no they didnt. Two years in now, and you only get it now? Please gtfo.

You set those expectations that retail games will come to ps+ all the time. Its not needed for Sony. Theyd rather people.buy Knack for 10$ than give it away.

You created expectations in your head that since Sony started giving out retail titles 5/6 years into the PS3 they would start on PS4 in year one or two?

This topic is the VERY DEFINITION of entitlement. Its some sad shit. Cancel if you dont value your sub. Thats as simple as it is.

So you guys complaining just want any AAA game? Just to pad the value.

Oh that's right, you guys really don't. Would still complain if it wasn't the game you wanted.

You want better games, if they dint you will keep bitching about the titles on hand
I doubt you even play them

It seems average value of games, or even sum value of games in a given month has nothing to do with how much people like them. I acknowledge that an older, but AAA, retail game may be valued the same as a new to PSN indie game that could be super cheap on Steam, so "value" may be skewed, but still.

Value at the time given is far less important to me than quality of the game. I'd rather have oldies like The Order or Knack or Killzone which are all less than $20 today than say Gauntlet or Hardware: Rivals which, while decent, don't hold a candle to things like Rocket League or Helldivers, other recent $20 giveaways for PS4.

Doubt I even play them? You're a moron lol, again your the minority big time here.

Want to see my demon souls plat? How bout the BioShock infinite one? Sleeping dogs? Dragons dogma trophies? How bout some real games on vita? No? I played the ps3 and vita games almost every month. Each month was a pleasant surprise.

When it was announced plus was required for online I was disappointed for some, but at the same time I figured most would see the value given the quality of titles released. The quality is gone, and all that'd left is paying for a mediocre online gaming service.

How many of the games on Plus this last year have you actually tried?

This last year we've had OlliOlli 2 (my GOTY 2015), Oddworld New and Tasty, Valiant Hearts, Ground Zeroes, Rocket League, Styx, Mousecraft, Super Meat Boy, Soundshapes, Galak-Z, Grim Fandango, and that's just off the top of my head. There are a bunch more I can't think of at the moment. There are so many great games only for PS4 that I'm like half a year behind on playing all these games. The only game I tried and didn't like so far was Tower of Guns, but there will probably be a few more once I catch up (that Gauntlet game that came recently looks pretty bad).

How could anyone want Need for Speed or fucking Knack over these great games?

Sorry mate, I have played nearly every PS+ game as soon as they have come available.

I will give you olli olli 2 and of course Rocket league

I didnt like
Oddworld
Styx
Grimfandango
Valient hearts
Mousecraft
Super meat boy

I already own galak-z and soundshapes.

I forgot to download ground zeros.

and yes short of olli olli and rocket league, I would take NFS easily. Still the closet we will get to a burnout 5 and the most fun racer this gen, fuck what you heard. Also, I think I enjoy knack than most of the above games too.

Also, thanks for calling me a moron. Ass.

People in this thread acting like their opinions are facts. Sorry some of us don't like these 32 bit SNES games on $400 machine.

Thats good for you. The three bucks a month you chip in does not entitle you to retail games.

Also youve already been given at least three retail titles if youve signed up from the launch of ps4.

The quality of titles has been high, sadly some of you people dont care about quality but just want rubbish retail titles that have been in on multiple sales.
Again with calling games others prefer rubbish, you are as bad as those that call indies trash. Look at igc when people were praising it, it usually had 1 aaa game and some indies each month. Now its all indies. That is what people are complaining about. It was understandable when ps4 launched, but now there are a lot of old aaa games.

Well boohoo I dont like quality games if they dont look like ps4 games!!!

Did you buy a ps4 to get ps4 games off IGC? or did you plan on ever BUYING some.

You people are whiny ingrateful 'gamers'.

You started the aggression , I suggest you just leave the thread.

I didnt start any agression, and Im going to suggest you stop bitching and come with decent arguments why in your opinion these games on offer are shit???

Besides the graphics

Settle down. Take a deep breath, it's not that serious.

Do you work for Sony by any chance?

I am a bad poster for saying the games ( indies isnt a fucking genre is it ) that people work hard on arent shit just because they arent published by a big powerhouse?

No people with this opinion that "indie" games are shit, have a shit opinion.

If you have time, might be worth doing the trendline for game quality each month (aka aggregate MC score).

There's a couple issues with MC scores. For some games they are from other versions (say PC for an older indie that was given on Plus on PSN launch).

What would be more interesting to me is to factor out all but PS4 playable games and see if that is more accurate. I think the current factoring in of values for Vita games, and to a certain extent PS3, skews the graph as most people today are focused on PS4 offerings.

Edit: It's easier than I thought, filter out things in the main list columns and the charts auto-update. If I leave PS4 playable games only (even if cross-buy to others), the lines are surprisingly even and without huge jumps since launch. Total value of PS4 playable was up since the second half of 14 and peaked in mid 15, and it's now back down. If you leave PS3 playable only, the value is up in this area to counteract the decrease in value for PS4 games. So really the recent displeasure seems to be with a focus reverting to PS3 games (retail or otherwise) and away from PS4 games, which makes sense as the PS4 is now probably the primary console for many if not most + users.

People in this thread acting like their opinions are facts. Sorry some of us don't like these 32 bit SNES games on $400 machine.

I agree with you. Even if those 32bit / whatever bit / indie games are great critically acclaimed games, I don't want to play them every month. Mix it up with other stuff.

That what pisses me off. No, I dont fucking like pixel art. It looks like shit. It looks shit back then and it looks shit right now. Its especially annoying when indies that look like they have had a bit of effort put into them ( like AAC) lose on vote play to shite like broforce.

Ingrateful? Really? Are you saying we should be grateful now that we get anything at all from this service we pay for?

I didnt start any agression, and Im going to suggest you stop bitching and come with decent arguments why in your opinion these games on offer are shit???

Besides the graphics

If people don't like the games or have no interest in them then they have little to no value to them. People are going to expect to get games they are interested in when they are paying money for PS+. If it was free you could throw around the tired "entitled" argument but it's not.

You people are whiny ingrateful 'gamers'.

And you're a masterful corporate shill. Congrats. I hope the pay is good. Oh, wait...

We should, as consumers, apparently be "grateful" for what we pay for. This attitude is fucking amazing. It'd be one thing if you're willing to deflect bullets as a Sony employee. It's another be a consumer telling other consumers to be grateful... to not have expectations.

But, hey. I've taken your sage advice. I'm done with PS+. I won't have a reason to be a whiny ingrate any longer.

PS+ hasn't been great for a while, but that's because they've been offering bad indie games, not because they've been offering indie games.

It's a fairly major difference.

Try reading your own post.

People with this opinion that "indie" games are shit, have a shit opinion.

I stand by this opinion because "INDIE" games arent a damn genre. And its annoying as hell to see people itt saying all these indie games are bad cuz if I wanted to play on a snes id play on a snes ( basically what you are saying ).

Indie games arent a genre.
Not all games that come from indie developers are shit.
Do you think Witcher 3 is also shit? Thats also made by an indie dev.

So buy them, they have been dirt cheap.

I am a bad poster for saying the games ( indies isnt a fucking genre is it ) that people work hard on arent shit just because they arent published by a big powerhouse?

No people with this opinion that "indie" games are shit, have a shit opinion.

Lets clarify for your obvious delicate sensibilties. The majority of indie titles, not matter the genre do not look or play like something a vocal subset of PS+ subscribers want. This thread is showing some of the available data that proves that.

Thats not to sat there are not desirable indies, but even the desiravle indies should be mixed up with older retail titles for a service that is approaching 2.5 years old on PS4.

Happy now?

PS+ hasn't been great for a while, but that's because they've been offering bad indie games, not because they've been offering indie games.

People don't seem to get it. I enjoy good indies just not the crap we've been getting lately. These indie white knights are extremely annoying.

I must have missed the snes games that looked like galak z.

Exactly. This bullshit is annoying as hell.

Im no corporate shill jezus, I am just for not shitting on developers who put in time to make a good and fun game.

Sadly some of you wont even play it, either because of the graphics or because its not a 60 dollar title.

That is fucking annoying and pissing me off. And for clowns to come in here and call me a corporate shill is beyond all logic.

But hey, if you arent grateful for the titles youve gotten, PLEASE unsub and stop complaining every goddamn month.

Im talking about ps4 games, that Ive doubt you played beyond a minute.

Also, thanks for calling me a moron. Ass.

uhh you didn't start aggression despite coming in here with a smug attitude that you "get it" and we don't? Calling us entitled "bitchers"? Yeah totally not aggressive at all.

I've played the games beyond a minute. I've played outlast... it was a fun little tossaway game that got old after the initial scare wore off and was ridiculously short. I played mercenary kings- what a disaster. I played styx, what a disaster. I played hardware- what a disaster. I played almost every game that's come out and left disappointed for one reason or another. Grow Home is a grossly overrated game that is ridiculously short, and it's clear why it doesn't have the mass appeal of other games.

There have been games I've liked sure- Rocket League is GOAT, but I'd rather not have to pay a subscription of what is essentially one of those "mystery box" services that send out monthly. I would rather go back to the free online and enjoy that.

If they require a sub to play online, then they should straight up improve the service, which they clearly haven't improved it. I played RFOM online for hundreds of hours and the service was fantastic. It was young, it wasn't as unified (again more of a console restraint), but it worked. So did UC2, and warhawk, and more. If I had a choice I would NOT pay for this service, but instead sony tried to pretend the price increase was to support improving the network and so on and so forth. It's a load of shit. They know the console is popular, and they know people will pay no matter what.

People don't seem to get it. I enjoy good indies just not the crap we've been getting lately. These indie white knights are extremely annoying.

What indie crap? Metacritic titles are above 80?? WHAT CRAP "frosta"?????????????

Also didnt come in here with a smug attitude but an annoyed attitude. For all the bitching on good ans wholesome titles.

Just cause YOU personally dont like it DOESNT MAKE IT A BAD GAME.
