Playstation Store 08/14/08

That Shikitei Garden Simulator is running a contest. http://www.jp.playstation.com/scej/title/shikitei/contest/index.html

and there's Toro Statue for only 300 Yen.

Like the previous DLC Toro Statue, by placing it in your garden you can attract 3 new types of wildlife - I think this pack includes a fox, a cat and some small bird.

Does anyone else here on GAF use Shikitei? I mostly just use it as an interactive screensaver, custom soundtrack support is great, but I still find it quite addictive unlocking new plants & items - I just wish I could read Japanese so I could understand exactly when to plant things :p

There's a demo of The Last Guy on the HK Store (217mb). The game is in English.

Just downloaded and installed. It's 1 level long and has a good tutorial. It's really neat, it will take some practice to get hang of the advanced techniques but it's definitely a blast.

I got 1910 yen left that I've been saving for the release of some really cool psx games on the jp store. I just might go for Q4B.

Japanese store update for this week (so far):

Games:

Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty - 1500 yen

Add-ons:

Shiki-Tei - Animal Pack B - 300 yen

Videos:

The Last Guy - Promotional Video
Double Clutch
Afrika

There's also two PSP wallpapers for some Marvellous Entertainment game that I can't identify as well.

OK, I just got e-mail from Sony saying that my HOME beta application (I downloaded theme from JPN PSN) was rejected. Those who did the same, check your inbox!

Japanese Ratchet has GIANT EYEBROWS. Superior version.

Me too, maybe I'll get the US one!

That shot doesn't do the eyebrows justice.

I say that having never actually played a Japanese Ratchet game but I know they have to be wilder than that in-game. They should consume half his face.

I meant in-game. I didn't know it was different in-game!

For those who have the 300 yen Japanese game, the HK demo features the very first area of that.
No second or third stages.

Nice! But Clank and Daxter should be the caddies for Ratchet and Jak, respectively.

I didn't notice this last week, but Siren was released on the Australian PSN store. It only got rated by the classification board on August 7, delaying the launch until last week.

I'm going to be cheerfully optimistic and believe that the European update is late because they're adding Lepzig videos. Yeah I'm probably setting myself up here :(

It’s a Leipzig special, folks. There’s stacks of trailers from yesterday, plus the brilliant Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty game and the Star Wars TFU Demo.

But that’s not all, no sirree. Check out International Track and Field for the PS1, Medal of Honor: Heroes for the PSP and Pirates!, again for the PSP.

Then there’s a Buzz! pack, a free Haze expansion, the Kratos character for Everybody’s Golf, a GH III pack (Dragonforce) and additional trailers for Far Cry 2, Play TV, Fatal Interia EX, Bionic Commando and, of course, more Movement videos.

I didn't even know that InFamous had a Leipzig trailer.

And aren't game trailers on PSN usually released in their native resolution? Because Heavy Rain's trailer resolution is 1080p.
