I don't mind.

Awesome, thanks a lot!

Thank you!

Anyone know what the character list for DW NEXT is? Specifically, is it the same as DW7 on the 360 or DW7 XL?

finished Gravity Daze and enjoyed it much but the story wise,
nothing is explained. Even the mysterious couple's story is unfinished. Where are Kitten & the cat from? I assume the cat is also a Navi. Bah
, I need a sequel immediately.

Just finished Gravity Daze. Great game, can't wait for the DLC. Also 2 trophies left until plat.

So, I got Ken's two cents but just to throw it out there again, there shouldn't be any problems playing through this if I do not understand Chinese/Japanese right?

At the very least, is there a moment where you'll find yourself having to guess what to do next as one did in Metal Gear Solid when you had to guide Snake changing the temperature of the key card? :(
I'm currently on episode 6 (about 5 hours into the game for me but I spent a lot of time on challenges) and mission objectives so far were easy to figure out.

Even if you run into something you can't figure out, I'm sure if you asked here someone would gladly help.

Was fun - hands down the best game on the Vita and my Game Of The Last Few Years. Can't wait for DLC, be it story or side missions/challenges.

Forgot to check my clear time, but getting that platinum took me ~20 hours.

So Yoshida replied to the question "why there's no Unit 13 demo on the JPSN" (link):

Better than nothing, I guess...

And about the fact that we didn't get AR cards, as opposed to western buyers (link):

So, as promise I've been playing Dream Club Zero most of the day. My initial impression is that it's awesome-sauce. It looks great, the character models are identical to the xbox version and it's one of the few titles which seems to run at native res - so no jaggies, the dodgy frame-rates in the youtube clips must just be poor encoding since it's fine in-game. Menus are all using the d-pad/stick so no frustrating switching between d-pad and touch screen thankfully.

Really liking the game, the original was pretty bare-bones (but addictive) but they've added a ton of new modes and features this time. Most of the mini-games have been reworked to use the Vita features - most of the time it's an improvement over the original xbox controls (tilting to drink for example).

The 日本語 dialogue is pretty easy to follow, no rare kanjis. Each girl has a different speaking style so if your japanese slang isn't that great, just pick the posh bird.

New characters are cool, ノノノ (Nonono) is my fave so far (blue haired dating game playing geek with a fear of real men)

Wow, the screenshots look like arse due to compression :P

Dream Club Zero is pretty much the only Vita game i don't own. I guess Ben 10 is the other one.

I may remedy that today given DJMiz has also mentioned that i should at least give it a whirl.

In all fairness, I couldn't recommend it knowing how niche it is. I think the mechanics are actually pretty good but the pretense can just put a lot of people off trying it. Love Plus seems to have been successful by replacing the usual seedy pretext with something more wholesome. I don't think you have to be a creeper to enjoy them, so long as you can approach them with an open mind and a healthy sense of humor.

I'm getting a Japanese Vita and have a Japanese PS3 account (primary) and a U.S one (secondary). Is it possible for me to use my U.S account on the Vita? If possible I would like to use the U.S marketplace (I'll buy U.S cards from Play Asia or somewhere) as it gets more of the games that I'm after. I have a wi-fi model and I'll be relying on free wi-fi spots. I assume that is going to mean that downloading games might take a while but that's a price I'm willing to pay.

Anything I need to know or think about before going ahead with my plan? Any potential hurdles? I don't plan on using a credit card, will that cause problems at all?

Thanks in advance.

You will have to factory reset your Vita every time you want to play the content bought with your US account.

I picked this up when I was in Japan and played it once so far (I'll get back to it), but how the hell do you do the okonomiyaki mini game???

Thought I could understand the instructions and obviously I was wrong because nothing was happening.

Really? Maybe I wasn't clear. I don't want to use my Japanese account. I'm happy to only have a U.S account.

Sorry, I misunderstood you. Yes, you can use U.S. account on your Japanese Vita, the Vita will be linked with that account. If at any point you would like to switch accounts (most demos are not account-locked, unlike games) you will have to factory reset the system.

I went 4 times through that yesterday, no more. Grabbed everything there was in HK store, not going to bother from now on.

Haha.
Out of all the games I own now, I've put more time on Dream Club than anything else :P
I'm actually surprised at how much content there is.
Hanging with Rui 'cause she's got...great bowling skills.
Seriously, a 240 average? Who wouldn't want to get with that?

Not this shit again, the only thing that i hate of my psp are the Japan only games :(
No more Japan only games please!

Got notification that @field shipped.
Unfortunately, I got the slow boat shipping, so I won't have impressions for 5-10 business days.

Derp, not paying attention to the order status.

Wait WHAT!? It's been delayed in Japan, and hasn't officially shipped :/ Did you get the HK version?

Ah, wasn't paying attention.
Thought status was shipped, still Preparing Order.
When was it delayed til?
PA's site shows ships in 1 week, but they usually don't move to Preparing Order until they have the game inbound.

発売日未定, strangely enough. Wonder what happened.

Preorders opened today for the 限定版 of Zero no Kiseki Evolution (9800 yen). Even though the game comes out in August, they are only taking reservations for the 限定版 through April 15th (or until it's full), and it is only being sold through their website.

If you want to get in on it, here's the link:

http://www.chara-ani.com/pickup.aspx?p=zeroevo

Includes:

-The game (duh)
-Special Drama CD
-Special Soundtrack CD (different from the one that will be given out to regular edition pre-orders)
-Themed cleaning cloth
-Themed PS Vita pouch
-Nendroid puchi "Ironrod"

They accept conbini payments, so those of you without J-cards are still in luck.

The one where you have to write the girls name on the food? You have to use the rear touch screen to move the ketchup, and circle to squirt. I guess it would have been way to easy if they just allowed you to use the main touch-screen. Confused the hell out of me for a bit.

What's that Chunsoft game with the blue people as characters? The demo was pretty interesting, doubt I'll ever see it in English though. And the Good People Die demo was fantastic, the 3d characters looked really good.

That is Kamaitachi no Yoru. I thought the demo was alright (although nothing really happened in the demo, haha...) and it got pretty good reviews initially, but fans have lauded it as the worst game in the series. I might pick it up once it sinks to the sub-2000 yen price point :)

This may alreadt been asked (sorry) but about the Hori screen protector: in Japan there are two versions: gloss and matte. One is red and the other, blue. Which one is which? Also, the US version is gloss or matte? Thanks.

US and European versions are all Gloss - they come in a blue packet.

In Japan Red is Gloss, Blue is Matte - you also have the premium one which is screen only (black) and the healing one which is green and used for when you already have slight scratches on the screen.

Thanks. Anyone tried the Blue Matte one? My brother got a matte proctetor for his new android phone and it looks great, reduces a lot the glare of the screen. Wondering if I should buy the Japanese matte or go to the cheapest US one.

Has anyone here got into the Samurai and Dragons beta?

Played for couple of hours.

Could have potential (for a social f2p game) but since every time your vita go to sleep mode you get disconnected playing this game is REALLY ANNOYING.

Especially when you have to wait real time minutes (like 7-8 minutes) before planning your next move. (farmville style)

I really hope they implement some kind of quick reconnect or this game is fucked

A lot of people say it reduces the image quality, which might be why we never got the choice. I've not seen one first-hand but for me the screen is the vita's killer feature so I'm not going to try.

Kuroshiki, Ken,

is this what the read translates to in order from top to bottom?

Yeah. Sorry my Photobucket links are dead.

There are 2 more skills after gravity slide that you can level up, but it's pretty obvious which one's they are once you get to that point.

Thanks, Ken.

Two more:

Early on, looked like video was trying to teach me to use square to dodge attacks from two red orbs. Couldnt figure this out. How to dodge?

Secondly, there's no manual save correct? Was wondering if there was before i go hunting for the purple diamonds scattered all over the place?

Flick the screen in a direction to dodge.

There is a manual save. It's not immediately available but you gather parts to assemble your home and that becomes a place where you can quick travel from and manually save. It should be within the first hour or so.

Bottom right option.

3 skills if my memory serves me well. But yeah, those are quite obvious.
