PlayStation Vita Screenshots | OS Level Captures

No reviews from Famitsu this week. Uncharted: GA doesn't have multiplayer - at least in the Japanese build. The story mode is supposedly around 10 hours in length.
I spent like 24+ hours trying to platinum UC3. I think this will be the same for GA. Plenty of replayability I must say.

around 10 hrs or 'around' 10 hours (aka 5-7 hours)?

Really curious how these games hold up. Even if the studio had ND tech, they aren't ND and don't have insane mocap cutscene stuff down like in UC2-3, unless they said they did that in some interview.

Anyhow... we need some screen captures of ridge racer iap store ;)
 
Well, at least the games will look a little better running on the actual screen, I hope.

I think I will add that if you want to post native screens then do so but you can also scale them down in relation to the actual Vita's screen size. So none are too horrified and nitpicky about things.

like I said, 10 hours is said by the dev, so probably less than that, but he did say it's longer than Uncharted 3, so you can use that as your comparison I guess.

it's not gonna be 4 hours like GoW psp.
 
From the few shots posted, they are in native res. Not that we can't tell that some games may or may not be at native res :P

They're native res but compressed. Is that the image host or can the device not take lossless captures?

.bmp or .png would be preferable to .jpg

Every system should have that feature. Having direct-feed screen available would make so many discussions better.
 
Why can my PS3 not do this?

I would guess because it has less ram than the Vita?

Though there actually was a plug-in for custom firmware PSPs that offered this. Then again, the PSP had more ram than it used for games (since 2000 and up models had 64 megs instead of just 32)
 
OS-level screenshots are awesome, was one of the best features of a CFW PSP, and it's great on iOS. Glad to see it's native on Vita.

Pity about those fucking obnoxious copyright notices what the fuck
 

As someone that visits NeoGAF (where Wario mainly posts), very few things are as pleasurable as seeing Wario64 get his ass handed to him.

Are you aware that the Vita is a handheld that has it's own screen, and not a home console that you connect to your TV?

Leave it to Sony to implement one of the best features ever in a console and then majorly fuck it up like that. At least there's hope for a patch.

The Vita screen is 960×544 and those screenshots are 960×544 with jpg artifacts.

I'm talking about the resolution, I thought that was clear from my first post. I was asking whether UC and Minna were both sub-qHD or not. What are YOU talking about? What higher than the console resolutions and stuff? It's native resolution is qHD. And these screenshots from both UC and Minna seems to be sub-qHD. I'm only asking for confirmation. JPEG artifacts won't add those stairs/jaggies. I'm not here to shit on the games. They are both one of my favourite PS franchises.
 
People's reactions to OS-screen-captures are why we can't have nice things more often.
Non-Native resolution games were common place on PSP, but since OS didn't dump framebuffer screens, it never got attention from certain crowds.

Really? Can you name some examples? I dumped screens from all 15 or so PSP games I've played and none of them are non-native.

I agree with your general sentiments though, the reaction when any dev releases a non-bullshot of an upcoming game is hilarious. Particularly when people bring up bullshots of games with even worse IQ for comparison.
 
Based on all the hands on reviews we've had in the last 6+ months. I doubt those screens are indicative of how the actual game looks.
 
Man those screens look terrible. It's nice that the system has this functionality but it's too bad it can't be used to show off the graphics.
