Please help identify a really old educational mac computer game

Hi all.

I was hoping you would be willing to help me identify an old old mac game that I played at school when I was about 6-8 years old in Canada. (This was around 1991-1993 or so.

I was trying to explain it to my wife, and she thought i was crazy.

I seem to remember that you have to escape through a sort of a top down maze, and every time you go through the various gates in the maze, you have to answer educational problems and stuff. After you finish a stage, you "furnish" a room in a castle with various toys and other objects.

Maybe i'm just insane. GAF usually seems pretty rock solid at identification of random old games and things.

Sounds to me like part of the Super Seekers series.

I played Treasure Mathstorm, the 6th one, a lot when I was small.

The premise that you described is near identical except for being snow and mountain related.

In that series treasure mountain and mathstorm were basically clones. In Mathstorm it was winter and you had to do math puzzles. In Mountain it was summer and the puzzles were english/grammar related

If I'm remembering this game correctly, I think there was this girl who said "good job super seeker! You earned 3 cents!". I played this game at a neighbors house once decades ago...

Nah sorry, none of these are the game.

It was really primitive, and quite rudimentary in the graphics. It had a birds eye view of the board, and you literally just went through a series of gates before you got to the castle or something at the end of the maze. I think it was in black and white only.

I can post this in the thread that was described above if you want.

There are a few archives for classic Macintosh games that you can search through. The list is short enough that you might find what you're looking for just by browsing. None that I can post here though since they have download links.
