Policenauts was better than Snatcher imo (more gripping story, plus Snatcher was too short). I wouldn't mind DS/Wii sequels of both games, though. I played Policenauts on my PSP, and I do think it needs a touch screen/light gun to fully enjoy the shooting sections.

agreed but both games are awesome...wish he would do a modern game like these except in more of a heavy rain style instead of lightgun stuff...

I think the fact that MGS5 is known only as Peace walker is Kojima saying we will continue the series. They probably dropped the number so it won't sound generic in the eyes of the consumer.

Which sounds better Metal Gear Solid 5 Peace Walker or Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker? The 5 makes me think, another one so soon?

What about Metal Gear Solid 8 Fall of Communism or Metal Gear Solid Fall of Communism? I would look at the 8, and think you guys need something new.

I agree. I've been over Metal Gear ever since MGS2. Of all the complaining people do about the saturation of sequels in the market, that is the only franchise I truly feel has long since worn out its welcome. Kojima making another MGS would go beyond just embarrassing and straight to bordering on pathetic.

Who said that Policenauts and Snatcher should be translated and released on PSN? I agree with you, guy!

Speaking of Rising, here's a new pic that I found in the PSU forums:

Has better looking hair compared to the old one:

Is that a new one or an old one? I remember the very first teaser pic of Raiden being different than the one shown at e3 2009.

I'm playing Policenauts ATM. The story is surprisingly strong! MGS is just a childish waste of time. It got ugly, ever since it started taking itself seriously. It should recognize what it is; a parody of 80's b-movies, starring Snake Plissken. I wouldn't be playing MGS, if it didn't have the 'skip cut-scene' option.

Policenauts is just Lethal Weapon in space, except Jon and Ed are 50 times stupider than Riggs and Murtaugh.

I don't see how that undermines the quality of the writing. It's not like Kojima ripped off the Lethal Weapon script word-for-word.

This is well tread territory, the premise is derivative, his writing has some merit but it's not exactly top notch stuff either. A specific example of weak writing in my opinion would be Tony Redwood. Though his villain characterizations in Policenauts were somewhat generic overall
(Tokugawa, Becker and Toscanini are pretty much interchangeable in terms of personality).

Oh, and as I mention time and time again, what does undermine the quality of the writing to some extent is Kojima's apparent need to add "fan service" elements to his games consistently.
Could have lived without Ingram making inappropriate remarks about Brown's daughter's picture and the fly landing on Chris Goldwin "mini-game".
