3DS is set to be officially unveiled at E3. That'll include the logo. They'll announce that it has special features on the 3DS with the third game being only for 3DS later. This is Gold/Silver/Crystal all over again.

Im assuming itll work on the DS but be forward compatible with the 3DS.

Pokemon Gold/Silver worked on the GB, but had GBC features.

I think Pokemon crystal was GBC only but had GBA features.

It'll have some bonus features for 3DS even if it's a crappy extra room like the color dungeon in Link's Awakening DX. Maybe an arena mode with 3-D pokemon.
