Mysterious distortions have appeared without warning in Lumiose City. They seem to connect to a space known as Hyperspace Lumiose...and the mythical Pokémon Hoopa might have some part to play. It looks like your story with Team MZ isn't over yet—continue your journey in Hyperspace Lumiose after completing the main game!

80~ means mediocre these days. My last hope has fallen through. I guess there will never be a Pokémon game on Switch that I can buy with peace of mind, one with "must play" badges all over it, a 90 plus game. Arceus has great reviews, but it's said to stray far from the old formula, so I'm not sure if I'd like it. I don't want to add another $60 to the money I've already wasted on Nintendo.

Arceus was great, this seems to be as well. I will pick it up eventually and give it a whirl.

I don't understand this, if Arceus has same reviews, so does this, because both reviewed about the same?

Which starter Pokémon are you all going for? I might try Totodile.

I usually pick a fire starter, but I think I started with Tepig on Pokémon Black a long time ago.

Odds are…I'll probably pick Tepig again lol

The crocodile seems cool, and the grass mango is super cute

The fire pig looks pretty meh

Might go with the crocodile

I'm going to go with chikorita. She is kind of an underdog and her new mega evolution might make her more viable in battles. Also I caught a shiny tepig in Scarlet so I feel like I shouldn't go with tepig personally as I should be able to just transfer the shiny over.

The game itselt should be around 5 at best. But the OT I give yah 9 for the title, well done.

Looking for starter or a mega-starter? If you're looking for a mega starter I wouldn't suggest you to pick Totodile.

Shout out to people getting the game and wanting to enjoy it. No "Best game since Red and Blue" posts though please, I've seen enough of that cap with Arceus.

lets see if this one is any good

Edit: Ok,finally a more dynamic Pokemon battle system, it looks really great compared to older games BUT why not let us take full control of our pokemon ? would bring even more strategy to the game, make we able to avoid attacks on real time and use positioning to deal more damage and exploit weaknesses, also, as a Pokemon hater ( mostly cause the game never evolved cause reasons ) this game is looking really good, i still prefer Arceus for its world, but the gameplay here is close to what i wanted since kid, just let me take full control of my pokemon and give me the ability to avoid attacks in real time and it ll be perfect.

Edit 2 :you have Chiko, Totodile and not Cyndaquil ? Why Cynda gets no love ?

People wouldn't get it but could have been funny if you had copy pasted from last made Pokemon OTs lol

80s is perhaps the lowest main entry pokemon score ?

Greg seems to love it

This seems like a tighter/more focused experience than Arceus - it has it's fair share of problems too but most reviewers seem to be enjoying it quite a bit, especially the combat and gameplay loop. I'm really looking forward to playing it

Damn what the heck? Instead of kicking asses on GAF, my man Kacho went ahead and made a lovely OT!

I have to buy the game to pay some homage.

Love the OT title.

I really enjoyed Legends Arceus, but I think I'm going to pass on this one. I'm sure the gameplay is fun, but the setting feels like a serious downgrade from LA. Maybe if it had released last year, I would have given it a shot, but this holiday is pretty packed for the Switch/Switch 2, and Kirby Air Riders and especially Metroid Prime 4 just look way more compelling to me.

Arceus was awesome. Looking forward to this. Two copies purchased for me and my son. I'll go Totodile. He was a beast the last time he was a starter.

I can't never see myself get in to this series mostly I never liked Pokémon designs even back first gen.

I'm more excited for this…

Hopefully pokémon ll get to this level of visual one day, gameplay is fun but they game is hot garbage on any level in the graphics department.

It wont and it has nothing to with budget or Switch 2's power.

Heck Falcom don't have crazy budget but look how good the visuals looks in Trails of the Sky 1st Chapter.

And on the flip side, their Ys games don't exactly push the bar. Yet, they're still enjoyable and have a dedicated fan base.

Falcom knows how to make their game look appealing without needing to push the visuals.

I don't need Pokémon to have the most high tech graphics but it needs to be better than this.

Unless Monolith Soft makes the new Pokémon game, until then GameFreak has no interest improving the Pokémon's visuals.
like i said on the other thread, i dont know if this is only Gamefreak fault cause they can make great visuals, i really think its mostly Nintendo greed since they are the ones thaty hold the Pokemon game exclusivity, why would they invest in this franchise if it keep selling tons of game while looking like PS2 games ?

if gamefreak can make this ( trailer below ), i m sure they can pull of really good looking pokemon game at the level os MHStories 3 / Trails or the new Digimon game.

Hahaha that title. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Purposely stayed away from most of the trailers for this game. Once I saw how battles worked I was intrigued enough to go in somewhat blind.

The first Legends brought me back to Pokemon. Not as an insane fan like I once was but it brought me back enough to keep an eye on what's going on.

If that was the case then Monolith Soft wouldn't be allowed push the graphics, especially the fact Xenoblade series don't sell any where close to Pokémon series.

I heard Pokémon company is separate from Nintendo, so I would this is mostly on them.

Well, at the end of the day is everyone's fault, Nintendo, Gamefreak and Creatures cause they co-own this brand and i seens that everyone are fine with the state of Pokemon games.

I'm also going in mostly blind. I skimmed through some reviews to get a sense of how it's being received and it sounds like a lot of fun!

Looking forward to diving in.
