That reminds me about the ORAS cover legendaries I heard over at smogon
that you can knock them out and they respwan post elite 4...probably a good thing as there is a long cutscene after the first battle for people interested in resetting for IVs
 
As someone who never played Emerald and didn't care for the battle facilities in the other games, what's so special about the battle frontier? Why would I want to go there where I can battle people online?

Some people prefer offline play, its a neat place to explore, there's rewards exclusive to it. But most importantly, each facility has its own special rules that are different from the standard ones. And those were really fun.

Battle Frontier is the best post game material that exist in Pokémon games imo. Different set of facilities have different battling rules and they're very challenging & fun.

I hate online play in pokemon, the more I can keep battling and playing offline the better. It's why post-game content is always so disappointing. I don't mind competitive multiplayer in other kinds of games like shooters and whatnot but never liked it in pokemon.

They had so much potential with the sneaking mechanic for the battle pyramid, and pokemon aime for the battle palace :/

Does this work on UK 3ds consoles?

I'm super annoyed at the moment, so a few months ago, just before smash, I smashed my 3ds I managed to get it working again, I jgot hpme yesterdayand my partner to said she had spilled a drink all over it, it is now dead.

Either the gods want me to import a new one, or I'm not meant to ever have nice things....

Sigh, I cannot wait for smash next week though!

so what's your opinion of the 7.8 rating given by IGN, considering it's a remake the "too much water" comment is just too much.

So many mixed signals being sent on the whole Battle Frontier thing, but like I said before it would be pretty cheap and easy for them to add the Battle Frontier post release because the main bulk of the work is just putting together a bunch of teams. The work would be even easier if they focused on one facility at a time and released them one at a time.

If the Frontier does make it in somehow I hope they change the Battle Palace, fuck not picking your Pokemon's moves.

Battle Frontier IS coming, we just don't know how or when. It could be in the next game for all we know, and this is just some sick tease

Haha, told you that the Battle Frontier wouldn't be coming back. I'm looking forward to the Black and White remake on the xDS, maybe that one will have a good post-game.
 
Downloading the Japanese AS while I play the NA demo. I also have my Eon ticket with me now, too bad I can't use the pokemon scrap codes yet, that would be instant Keldeo and Shaymin for me. Lol

Someone with that ticket should connect to the online streetpass relay thing. Which I need to figure out how to work.

No way of getting the Eon ticket without streetpassing someone who has it, right? :(
 
I've watched a stream this morning and I am actually much more hyped for these ORAS versions than i was with XY. Maybe because of the postgame which was totally absent from XY and the fact that ORAS does seem better even without the battle frontier.

Btw, about all the battle frontier "scandal" i think it's gonna be available with an early update or in a later one when they'll get it done but I don't think they'll do a DLC or that they'll wait until the next version. It's typically the kind of thing they couldn't do in the old games but now they can easily patch the game to make it happen.

I also really appreciate the fact that the game comes with a language selection like in XY. I think that the most confusing would not be to play the game in Japanese, but I'm really not used to Japanese pokemon names !
Now i'm waiting for amazon to deliver the game like everybody. At least I already got my Eon ticket last weekend :)

I find the sandwiches at a bigger Seiyu, they restock ever Saturday, and I just buy as many as I can. Lol

They are 120¥ a pop.
 
So hype. Still need to finish up my bird team in X. I'll do that tonight while I wait for midnight.

I'm going to train a fighting-type team for my first play-through of AS in anticipation for Mortal Kombat X haha
