Pokemon talk: Which Eeveelution is the best?

Which mutant dog cat thing is the best

I think my top 3 would be as follows:
1. Umbreon
2. Espeon
3. Glaceon

I think most of them are good Pokemon. Except Flareon, which is disappointing since my favorite type is fire. Have they fixed Flareon's moveset to reflect its base stats yet?

I don't particularly love any of the Eeveelutions that much anymore. I think my Top 3 are Leafeon, Espeon, and Sylveon though, but it's hard to say.

I had always been a Jolteon person until playing the gen 1 games again this year. I needed a water type bad and ended up taking Vaporeon since it can also learn Ice Beam.

Thing was a complete battle tank for me twice.

I had never used one in game before but damn did it put in work in the second half of the game.

Competitively, I have no idea. In terms of design and sheer awesomeness, Vaporeon wins by far. He's the best of all 802 mons.

I think competitively that goes to Sylveon with its high special defence and good special attack to break down walls.

This, I don't know how people like Sylveon, it just has way too much going on. I may have my favorites and such, but overall the rest of the evolutions all look nice. But Sylveon's design is just... Ugh.

Especially when you remember that no, that is not an actual bow on its head; I'm pretty sure it's just its skin in the shape of a bow, which just weirds me out even further.

As for my choice, it will always be Espeon.
Just because it has cute (yet slightly creepy) flesh ribbons and a bow? I wouldn't consider that too much going on, especially in comparison to so many other Pokémon designs. Also, I love the pastel colors. <3

Glaceon > Jolteon > Sylveon > Vaporeon > Umbreon > Espeon > Leafeon > Flareon

They're all of the awesome quality and can't go wrong with either, though.

The only wrong answer is Sylveon.

Agreed
All in good fun though.

The reason I like Weber's evolutions in general is due to their designs bring simplistic, yet indicative of what type they are. Sylveon fails in this regard imo. The colors the Pokémon has is actually fine, it's the whole package that's off-putting to me.

Also the eyes, such a strong tangent from the rest of the family.

Beleive it or not, in the current competitive environment, regular Eevee might actually be the most dangerous of the group! It's because of its Z-move, Extreme Evoboost. When given proper support (usually Aurora Veil support from Alolan Ninetales since Memento is banned until the bug gets fixed), it can get +2 in every stat, and baton pass it to something really dangerous like Celesteela!

I actually have a battle video of me almost losing to such a strat right here: CETG-WWWW-WWWX-TCTP (put in the PC at the festival plaza to see it). Note that the person uses Mismagious, so it probably had Memento (this was before the ban)

Once Pokebank comes out however, I think Sylveon will probably take the crown as the best eeveelution in competitive play again, at least for Battle Spot metagames. Even with the nerf, Pixilate is still a great ability, so I imagine its still gonna pop up in Battle Spot Singles and Doubles.

Nah jolteon due to its high speed and special attack

Espeon is p great too iirc due to its HA Magic Bounce

Sylveon has the same special attack and lower speed but makes up in its Special defenses where as Jolt can't take a hit in either special or physical.

Sylveon, Umbreon, and Espeon are the best ones in that order. The worst ones are Jolteon and Leafeon, but Jolteon is still cool. Leafeon is lame AF.

1. Umbreon
2. Jolteon
3. Espeon
4. Sylveon
5. Leafleon
6. Vaporeon
7. Flareon
8. Glaceon

I always forget Glaceon exists, to be honest. None of them are bad designs though.

Stat wise Espeon or Sylveon are probably the best offensively, Umbreon defensively, and flareon is just... The worst.

Aesthetically? I'd put them
Espeon
Sylveon
Glaceon
Umbreon
Jolteon
Leafeon
Vaporeon
Flareon

Flareon just an eevee that turned red and grew longer hair :/

Competively speaking among Smogon, I think Espeon, Jolteon and Vaporean are the best still.

Glaceon is my second favorite design after Espeon. Its a shame its the worst defensively, or because its among the slowest.

Anyways, it doesn't matter which eveelution you pick in in game story mode or casual battles.

Espeon has always been my fav since it was released. Love the design and the psychic type. I was always hung up that it never learned power gem and weather ball through out the games though.

For some reason I really didn't like Sylveon when it was new (or XY at all for that matter) but when S/M came out Sylveon instantly became my favorite. But overall I love all Eevees :)

I like pretty much all of the Eeveelutions but by far the one that stands out to me the most is one... Jolteon.

Jolteon was my MVP in my Pokemon Moon Nuzlocke run, its Special attack was high but not super crazy but its speed was insane. Was a crazy good special sweeper and ended up being able to take a hit from most attacks as well but was certainly a glass cannon and boy was it ever the cannon part with Z-moves. 1 shot shit that resisted stuff with its Z move. It swept almost the entire Champions team and as I watched Pokemon after Pokemon fall Jolteon remained standing. Was the only thing to live multiple boss battles.

I liked how it was such a deviation from the rest given that it was the first new type since the game boy color games.

You also have to take into account that it was the poster child for the new fairy type. If it looked as "normal" as the others, it wouldn't have been as exciting or theory-provoking. Its very distinctive look generated a lot of hype.
