PokePark: Pikachu's Big Adventure (Wii) screens available

haha, my assumption came thru and this really is something worth trolling. And who'd knew Nintendo would actually
touch up and
reuse those old N64 models for this long. This puts them to Castlevania sprites, Capcom's Morrigan sprite, and PS2 generation SMT games level of recycling.

Can't help but think the two are related.
They sure do; those two can actually breed and have babies!:lol :lol

No idea. Kids these days with their iPodettes and LinkinParkizards. Back in my day you took on the Elite Four with a fucking Metapod, and if that failed you exploded an Electrode.

Spoiled is what they are.

so true

Love the special effects of the colosseum games

Hey guys - What's everyones opinion on when Nintendo will be forced to make a full 3d pokemon rather than the top down sprite based crap? DS2?

Now if only they could make a whole RPG game base on controlling Pokemon in real time like this!

GameFreak director Junichi Masuda did say that he was interested in the possibility of a real-time battling mechanic for future games, so it's definitely something they are thinking about...

Looks better than I thought it would, here's hoping this isn't a "waggle to attack" game.
Didn't they have a description way back that said something about waving the Wiimote to move the Pokemon in minigames? That would count as waggle.

Not sure though, it might be somewhere in the Kyoto thread.

Vid was.. nice. Definitely looks better in motion, but I still need to know how much is minigames and how good they are.

How would that even work? The whole basis of the Gamefreak games are turn based. What I would love to see is a realtime, 3D turn based battle system. Maybe the next DS could realize that.

The video looks kind of good. Like an action Pokemon game. Is it coming out this year in the US?

I've always wanted an Pokemon adventure game starring Pikachu and this fits the bill perfectly and looks nice; definitely day 1. If somehow stats are involved then it's could potentially be GotG Pokemon.

Fuck Nintendo, I've been waiting for a console RPG since I was 12 years old, I'm fucking 23 now!

I used to have dreams of an open world, real time adventure with Z-targeting to throw pokeballs :( Why do you torture me Nintendo!?!?

They will never make a proper console Pokémon, because it would lose the "portable experience factor".

higher dev costs and it will probably sell less...

Personally I would prefer more trainer input during battles, particularly defensive input. Defensively you could issue commands for your pokemon to dodge, block, or counter attacks.

Yeah, plus with the Wii Remote pointer you could target area-specific commands. They should really do explore that option for a Pokemon console game.

Great looking picture[IMG]

This screen looks really good
So... First, they show pics and videos with N64 ground textures, terrible (almost nonexistant) lighting, and crappy effects, and now they release those tiny pcis with great textures, awesome effects, real time shadowing and good lighting like, a week after?

Game looks much better now.
Tiny, tiny amount of playable Pokemon.

Edit: Wait, no. The circle of Pokemon is not playable Pokemon.
- Pikachu
- Psyduck
- Azurill
- Slowpoke
- Emporeon
- Buizel
- Floatzel
- Feraligatr
- Golduck
- Vaporeon
- Prinplup
- Bidoof
- Corsola
- Piplup
- Venusaur

Lapras is not there, and she's playable in the trailer.
Lucario too.

1 and 2 flashing in the Pokemon selection screen? Is the game played NES style?

Something in this game reminds me of Twilight Princess graphically, but I can't point out exactly what :/

Same thing was done with Epic Mickey. Lots of companies seem to do that these days.

I'd think it would work fine. Just do the same thing, add lots of wi-fi community options (mini-games, battles, trading, etc.) Give it Mario Galaxy caliber polish graphics and soundtrack wise, should have a hit.

Wait what? A game with release date 6 weeks after it's annouced?
Its for that reason I think Kirby Wii could still come out in late December, since its even listed as a 2009 game.

Is there a little retail gathering like last month coming up?

Whats are they saying when Bidoof and Mudkip are on screen? Have they caught onto them being recurring jokes among people online :lol

And the game looks really nice in the trailer.

Nintendo already detailed their end of the year lineup. They have some quiz game coming out 12/17 and that is it. They aren't going to release a brand new Kirby game out of nowhere especially when December already looks pretty packed.

Last gen graphics.
Yes! That's it! :lol
Nah, seriously, it must have something to do with the way the lava is lighted, and a few
blurry
textures here and there.

It just says they came to play. No meme stuff. :P
