Nope.

He and I disagree on everything (except that he has cool speakers and TV) and this is still wrong.

I still don't have a sub so in a way I am a terrible human being. It's been over a year for God's sake.

Great night for Democrats. Thanks to all the voters nationwide. :D

The Blue Dogs aka "Conserva-Dem's" got destroyed!!!

Here's the tally so far. Total dem house loses w/ Blue Dogs in bold:

IN-08
IN-09

FL-02
FL-08
FL-24
IL-17
MD-01
MI-01
NH-01
NJ-03
OH-18
PA-10
PA-11
TN-04
TN-06
TN-08

TX-17
VA-05
VA-09
That's actually one of the reasons I'm not too bummed about the flip: Blue Dogs took it up the ass and lose their influence in the process.

I'm not sorry to see Feingold go down, though he lost to a complete shithead.

Brace yourselves for textbooks stressing America's Christian upbringing, prayer in public schools, calls for healthcare reform repeal, marriage as one man and woman initiatives, minimal progress in ending the war on drugs, cuts on education and an increase in obesity.
Dude, they won The House, not the league of calamitous intent.

We're not going to be able to have a proper discussion with this thread moving at such speeds, let's go back to that tomorrow (if you want).

When was the last time Republicans did anything for poor people?
That never stopped them though.
They yammer about guns, god, and gays. And that is enough for many.

And I've listened to the GOP talk about 'small government for over 30 years now . . . they never do a damn thing about it. Yet people fall for it every time.

Poligaf, what is the situation of my simi-fine state of Florida? Are we doomed to the crazy man Rick Scott?

And damn, both Crist and Meek failed against Rubio? Damn it.

I can't comment on Scott, but watch out for Rubio, he may be the future of the tea party, or even the republican candidate for president in 2012. Very impressive man

And CNN just projected Nikki Haley's win in SC

Right, but cyclically speaking the pendulum is already on its way back. It does it every time.
It was anticipated as much, there was no way the economy was going to recover fast enough for Democrats not to loose one or both houses, its an impossibility. We had a the GOP as the boogeymen in 06 an 08. We have them again.

On the bright side, Colbert and Stewart will have great material for at least the next two years

Unless the teapublicans decide to cut off federal funding for those shows.

Dude, it's the house, the house always have some crazies, not to mention that it's the fucking house, there's only that much damage you can do from it.

Final predictions:

Senate: GOP + 7 (Johnson 54 Feingold 46)
House: GOP +56
Governor: Walker (56% of vote), Kasich (52% of vote) [those are the only two I have followed]
I'm looking pretty close right now!

Joe the Plumber is in Nevada at the Reid/Tea Party convention. :lol What a clown.

Don't they control the budget?

I'm still optimistic at the dem's 2012 chances. I don't see this as a referendum on Obama's policies so much as a reaction to the shitty state of the economy, something that he inherited and that cannot be fixed overnight. Let the Republicans have their moment. It's not like they have any sort of plans in place for making things better.

"You lie!" has been reelected, also. That's a one-two punch for the evening. One, two, three if you consider his son got elected, also.

The only benefit I see with the Dems losing the house. Maybe in 2012, we elect real Democrats and not fucking Blue Dogs.
