Oh don't pay attention to the color of the regions. They're not meant to represent the political leanings. However, the voters that appear in the random battles are meant to somewhat reflect the region.

Well I hate to say it but it's still freezing.

I love that angry picture of Barack. You just don't fuck with that face. You just...don't.

Pretty good.

My strategy for the final battle was to
alternate between Ramble On and Debate. It took a while, but it worked.
:D

Hehe. You should try beating it with McCain/Palin. Palin is juiced against her base but you pretty much have to keep her hidden when battling anyone else.

Hey, GAF, guess what? I live in fucking Florida, and I'm off to go vote! Like, RIGHT NOW! Be back in an hour or two!

Nice. I just put my ballot in the mailbox. Oregon mail in voting FTW!

+1 for Obama
+1 for Merkley

Chuck Todd said on Today show Palin's appearance on SNL was the worst thing she could have done, because it reinforced that she was a joke. Ouch.

I finally finished the flash game I spoke of last week:

Political Pokemon Flash Game
http://www.sociotown.com/games/polimon/

It's based off this GIF from the end of the Dem primary from several months back:
pokemon-politics.jpg

I obviously changed things around to make it work for an actual game and it revolves around the two presidential candidates.

This is the first place I've posted it at. Let me know what you guys think. Also let me know if I have any embarrassing misspellings or if I should make some game adjustments.

Enjoy! :D
There is a bug in the final showdown. All of a sudden I was playing with Palin instead of Obama - I suppose that's not what is supposed to happen? :lol

:lol Whoa, yeah that's not suppose to happen. Were you switching to Obama from Biden?

Yeah. Same thing happened to me. I got to try out some of Palin's attacks against McCain, and vice-versa. :lol

i've had this too but if you switch polimons it changes back to normal

Al-Queda supports John McCain I WONDER IF HIS VOTERS WILL HAVE ANY REASON TO THINK HE'S THE ONE WHO IS WORKING WITH THE TERRORISTS. This news is so delicious.

Man, playing as McCain/Palin is hilarious. McCain sucks at everything except facing down the media elite and putting people to sleep, and then Palin demolishes everyone. Except black people and mexicans.

Got the Palin bug as well. Then it froze on me.

Not going to bother trying to get to that final showdown again.

Same here, Palin bug on final showdown. McCain's "wasn't she great" sound byte was fantastic, though.

The Maverick Move is actually the strongest attack in the game, but it has a fail rate of about 50%. So you're really rolling the dice.... :lol When you're desperate, it's worth a shot though.

EDIT: I'll try to fix the "Palin" bug now...

Doesn't mean anything because Obama told them to support McCain, he is a Muslim after all.

Suggestion: Vote against Self-Interest should function like Takedown. Opponent is hit by recoil. ;-)

What the eff...I doubt this gets any significant play, right? I mean, who can say that this is really Al-Qaeda and not some fools hacking their website again?

...and by fools I mean awesome people, but you know what I mean.

Well, David Shuster just did short segment on it, saying that online al-Qaeda supporters believe a McCain presidency would be to their benefit and as such are hoping for a pre-election terrorist attack.

Clearly it's a backslash against Mccain trying to spin Biden's remarks
That just started yesterday, it is far too early for that to impact the polls. News stories take a few days to seep into national polls Chuck Todd says

I was just kidding but frankly it was immediately obvious it would have no impact at all.

Let's be even clearer folks. The entire republican lineup for the 2008 nomination was AWFUL. Nearly half the people running didn't even want the job (Giuliani, Thompson).

The second McCain won, it was clear that, no matter the Dem running, it would be a blowout.

This talk sounds like what people on the Gaming side say about Sony and the PS1 and PS2. That Sony won those two generations because everybody else sucked, when in reality they won because they were just damn good.

Obama is winning because he is just damn good. I mean of course those other things matter, but had Obama screwed up McCain could still win.

I think those poll numbers are clearly the result of Powell's endorsement. And the beauty of that gift? Even though the buzz from that endorsement has died down, the new dominant story is the big leads again. So it's additional days the McCain campaign loses. It's a twofer.

You would think they would make a bigger deal about early voting.
They keep talking about changing peoples minds within two weeks, when you can go vote TODAY.

Cheebs said:
I wonder if this new bump in all the polls is thanks to Powell.

I honestly think that at least part of it was. McCain was very slowly closing, and something happened in the past four or five days that has halted and reversed the trend. Powell is the most obvious thing we can point to.

And it makes sense, I think. The media and the Republican party have deified him over the past two decades, so his words are going to catch some attention.
